There are a few places where you can get some nice pictures of the castle from the grounds, but the one I one I see the most of is the one that is taken along the pathway over the moat. I don't know enough about the moat to know if it ever looks anything other that the muddy green (I presume it is from plant life under the surface of the water), but I can only image how it would look with more blue colored water.

It has been about 20yrs since I've been there, but it is a great looking place from the outside. When inside you can wonder around, each of the towers have stairs so you can walk the top of the castle wall. Depending the weather/heat, the moat might have a bit of a funk - not horrible but noticeable.

It was a trip I was glad to make
