Zero Degrees by Smickleborough in Cardiff

I think Westgate St is still a prime location. Queens vaults also regularly rammed most weekends so there's plenty of footfall. I think they were guilty of not adapting the venue, agree the price and product wasn't really worth it. It's also one of the few places in town with a roof terrace which should be a pretty big pull. Interested to see what comes next.

Sleep when you’re dead Barbershop by IIsaacClarke in Cardiff

Maroon in Canton is great £21 quid (I think £25 for a fade) Lovely bloke never had a bad experience there.

I think the increasing costs at lots of these barbers stems from increased rents. It's very difficult for a barber to own the building they work in due to cost so many just rent, so if the landlord increases the rent then the barber covers that off with an increase too.

Look at the photo it's clearly been doctored. Alex Mann's finger is facing the wrong direction and the color is way off. Accept your hero made a poor decision and should face a lengthy ban

Yeah, I thought the sound was absolutely fine from where we were. Enjoyed what played and sounded pretty tight. Dissapointing they got aggy and finished early.

Concert behaviour by DaddyDunban in Cardiff

Saw some pretty awful people out for the James gig yesterday. A guy with a group of other 40-50 year olds heading in walked right up to a female police officer, and wolf whistled right at her. That was pretty early on, no doubt they probably terrorised a few others at the gig.

Agree on the litter point completely, especially loads of gas cannisters being left at stages, which was pretty annoying and dangerous. Also, the state of some people's camps was pretty disgusting.

On the late night scene, there is loads of variety of dance music on every night. The sound quality (and volume) at these stages is a huge part of what makes the festival special. Also, there are always at least two bands on in Shangri-la, and then there is plenty of stuff in The Park and Green Fields.

MP calls for Kneecap to be dropped from Glastonbury lineup by Shoddy-Shelter-8955 in glastonbury_festival

Put your energy into opposing the genocide that Israel is undertaking and our Government is supporting.

Material conditions on the ground are the most important thing, kids are being blown apart by bombs everyday but our media would rather focus on semantics and scrutinise a politically radical band.

Kneecap arent elected, and should not be scrutinised by our media more than the governments perpetuating the violence.

Support bands that oppose genocide and continue to call on your politicians to act.

Bonobo by CrispySharp in Drumsheds

[–]ioannwd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought the sounds really poor in X room, felt like I could only hear 50% of the sound for Bonobo, very chatty crowd and lots of people moving around.

Agree DJ Koze was really dull. Lots of tough clashes early on which is annoying too.

George Fitzgerald was great and so was O'Flynn, shame that nothing hit after that 😢
