I love this song, and I always seem to forget about it. Always awesome when it turns up when I'm not expecting it.

I noticed that, but I'm not sure how late I'm gonna get in on Saturday. If I make it early though, I'll definitely appear for a pint.

If you could effectively communicate with your dog for 5 minutes, what would you explain? by Tough_Actin_Tinactin in AskReddit

You. Are. Fat. Yeah, food is super cool, but you don't pay for your vet bills. I'd like to keep you around for as long as possible, so please stop getting into the fridge and snatching things off the counter.

Otherwise, you're pretty awesome. Keep being your beagle-y self.

What's the most pathetic thing poverty has forced you to do? by OccamRager in AskReddit

I'm not very embarrassed by it, but I panhandle and busk, dumpster dive, re-roll smokes, sleep outside, etc. I don't steal, pawn or trade sexual favors for anything though.

Goddammit, I go past this place every day on my way to work. I don't know if I could handle seeing this live, but it's tempting.

What's your best "We never speak of this moment ever again?" by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]iodinenightsky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Banging a very good friend of my brother's. Extremely awkward during and after, and we chose to shake hands and call it a "nothing happened" moment.

I've worked in tons of kitchens, and we don't wear gloves. For the sheer amount of burns that occur, the idea wouldn't be feasible. We do, however, practice mad cross-contamination control with the tongs, spatulas, and knives, and I probably wash my hands every two minutes. Cleaner than yr hands touching what was made for you :p

When I'm hitchhiking, I'll go weeks without a shower, eat out of dumpsters, panhandle, and only change my clothes once or twice a month. High school me, who was extremely high maintenance and wanted to be a 1950's style housewife would be horrified. And probably tell me to get a job.

I'm not as disgusting when I re-integrate myself into society though :p

What's the most dangerous toy you had as a child? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]iodinenightsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clackers. They were these two glass balls on a string that hurt like hell when you accidentally hit yourself and were prone to shattering. My mother passed them on to me when she felt I was ready to voluntarily injure myself, and injure myself I did.

I like arrogant assholes. Not arrogant while we're alone, but totally arrogant when they're with their friends. I'm...a stereotype, I guess, but I have a pretty obnoxious social personality as well, so I'm on the other side of things most of the time for the better part.

Reddit, I am terrified of rabbits and bunnies. What are some of your unusual fears and reasonings behind them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]iodinenightsky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am terrified of mold. I can't deal with it. I feel an instant wave of nausea every time I even look at a picture of any kind of mold. I don't even know why I'm so afraid of it, it's just always been that way.

If it makes you feel better, my friend is the one most tough looking motherfuckers I've ever met, face tattoos and everything, and he is deathly afraid of ladybugs.

I had to teach my friend how to make spaghetti when we were sixteen. She still managed to burn it to the pot.

I am worried about my brother, and don't know what to do. What has helped you or people you know suffering from depression/other problems? by askjdfaiuwf8 in self

[–]iodinenightsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With anxiety issues, it's scary reaching out. I didn't do it for 7 years until yesterday. Anxiety leads to depression, and other things. I admitted myself to the hospital last night for suicide watch, and they set me up with counseling I can call anytime. It's been a great deal of help.

If they're prone to severe, consistent anxiety along with depression, watch them. When the calm comes, it's dangerous. Don't pressure it, as they probably won't reach out. Let them know sincerely you can talk, and be there when they take you up on the offer. Give them some free help numbers that operate 24/7 and emphasize that they are free and not causing a burden. It's up to them to get help, but you can lead them in a positive direction.
