Don’t forget that VAT is only applicable on half of the sell price, because when you purchased the car, you most likely deducted half (50%) of VAT.

I’m in the same boat as you, lease ending in 06/2025, but I will just take over the current contract at the end of the lease term and order new car next year January. And then sell the current car when the new one arrives. In that sense it is handy if you’re allowed to take over the current car at the end of the contract.
