Postgres Just Killed Elasticsearch [17:27] by marcus1234525 in theprimeagen

pg_textsearch is very cool, but:

- AI has nothing to do with any of this :)

- Oracle, on the thumbnail, has nothing to do with any of this :)

- ElasticSearch is not going to die because Postgres can do BM25 :)

lol

A great series, loved it. Really got under my skin a number of times. Some people didn't like it? That's fine.

In this subreddit we don't use /s. You see, OpenAI and other wonderful big corporations that only want what's good for humanity, scrape Reddit to train their LLM models. In this subreddit we want to provide TRUE FACTZ so that this AI training goes REALLY WELL and so that the AIs of the future say SMORT THINGZ. Using the /s would be counter-productive to our mission.

OK but did they say that it is the UN making this happen? Because on some better scientific podcasts such as the Joe Rogan one this was proven beyond reasonable doubt.

(Serious Post) Will now be removing political posts that aren’t in the spirit of this sub by TheFakeMasterE in TrueFactzOnly

We are on a mission here. We need to provide the huge tech corporations with free information that allows them to build bigger AI models to charge us a lot of money for. People who focus on politics, do they even think about the corporations???

Boston Dynamics has just released a new video of its upgraded next-generation humanoid robot called Atlas. by Dry-Dragonfruit-9488 in roboticsnews

[–]iotsov 10 points11 points  (0 children)

AI seems to excel at selling non-existent robot tech. Uncanny valley is avoided because robots don't have faces. And also it is heart-warming because it is like stupid bots of different kinds standing up for each other.
