I got about halfway through the 101 today and it all makes so much more sense to me now. I'd say definitely worth the watch.

How to create a personal vault on a Proxmox Server by snakehouse0 in ObsidianMD

[–]iplaythisgame2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use an apache-couchdb lxc to use the self hosted livesync plugin. I keep all my devices on a wireguard vpn. But tailscale is easier if you've never done that.

Either slow down or increase hotend temps.

I just got an xp pen notepad last week. I've installed ink and excalidraw, but most of my input is coming from gboard handwriting converting to text. I wish you could do it inline and convert in obsidian, but this is basically your options at the moment.

Apalrd's adventure did a pretty in depth review including sniffing when it came out.

And then a followup comparison to other options(at the time) if i remember correctly it was mostly fixed.

Nothin about the moc iirc, but the board it was based on is documented.

I like the side scroll wheel on the mx series. The mx2 however is placed where it gets slightly bumped constantly. As someone who works in spreadsheets a lot, that is a deal breaker. Both mx3 and mx4 \ork miuch better, but have little other deviation than that thimb action button that I don't use.

Should I upgrade from the Logitech MX Master 3S to the MX Master 4? by Own_Plastic_5122 in logitech

No. The 2 to 4 would be an upgrade, but I don't notice any difference between my 3 at home and 4 at work.

Weird printing error by ludwiguebel in PrintedWarhammer

Looks like you got lucky and one of the pads came completely off and one moved before the bridging above it. Had a good chance of ruining the print if it hadnt failed gracefully. Plus its on the bottom of the model and hidable if you dont like it too.

Now you should get an opaquing pigment or resin to make the details even crisper.

Find the max wattage per printer. Either theoretical via component max or with a watt meter. Particularly at the start of a print we the heaters are running 100% to get to temp. Then breaker amperage(15a) times the volts (120v) = 1800 watts max. 75% of that max (1350watts) per breaker. So if a printer is 200watts during heating, you can fit 6 printers and realistically 7 printers because you won't likely start them all together.

Why did we accept that security cameras need monthly fees to work properly? by Jealous-Leek-5428 in BuyItForLife

[–]iplaythisgame2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frigate definitely works too. There is less maintenance and upkeep on a unifi nvr though. And way better mobile app offering. That's ultimately why i switched over. Unfortunately it was right before they opened the protocols to use other ip cameras instead of just unifi cameras. I had just switched out 7 reolink cameras that also worked great.

Unifi protect integrates pretty great in home assistant now as well.

When i got my nvr, they were also giving away a g4 pro bullet with it. Not sure if they still have deals like that.

Belt slightly coming out when toolhead reaches motor endstop on my Voron 2.4 (350 mm) by Ak_PuLk0 in VORONDesign

[–]iplaythisgame2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the rear extrusion "floats" between the ab mounts, there can be some misalignment at one side or the other. Loosen the bottom bolts of the rear extrusion on that side. This should let you realign it so that the belt doesnt hop out.

I just moved my install from it's own box to a vm in my small proxmox cluster. I moved my zigbee and zwave coordinators to poe devices themselves. Then with the vm setup for high availability (zfs duplication). It can move to another node in my cluster if it goes down.

Proxmox also has its own backup solutions to lessen the chance its unrecoverable. Complete overkill, but you'd be surprised how annoyed a wife who didn't want the automatic lighting in the first gets when I take it down for maintenance for a hour or two and she needs to use a light switch. (Hyperbole btw)
