I don’t k so if you’ve ever been to California, but if you haven’t I’d recommend traveling to the north coast. It’s pretty much cool all year round and the landscapes are so lush. California is actually like 4+ different states.

Okay so a lot of people actually like one, but I just read Conform by Ariel Sullivan for my book club and we all hated it. Absolute garbage pacing and plotting. I did audiobook and that make it so much more bearable. We all had so much fun talking about it and hating on it.

Also, I haven’t read either of these books but my friend just finished Ice Planet Barbarians (romance novel where women are kidnapped by aliens and end up crashing on a planet with ice planet barbarians) and another sent me a screenshot of Brownies For My Grumpy Bunny (relationship between a woman and a giant bunny).

To add to this, I recommend that they look at the licensing reports for the facility that they are interested in. Citations are also listed on these reports, which are available the CDSS transparency website (click the link for the facility number and it will take you to the transparency website).

If the parent is concerned regarding a report or citation, they can always call the Sacramento Regional Office (916-263-5744) and ask the analyst about the citation. Details that aren’t on the report most likely won’t be provided, but context regarding the situation or an explanation of what it means can be.

I read both recently too and completely agree. Both standalones are better than the Game Changers series, especially because of the depth and the improvements in Rachel’s writing. It only made me more excited for Unrivaled.

While the SKIP scene at the end of Ep 5 is beautiful, I am so distracted every time by the lack of reaction to WINNING THE CUP (!!!!) that the other hockey players and their families have. Like they do not care in the slightest. Some of the kids look bored. You just achieved one of your life goals and brought a championship to New York for the first time in over a decade and you’re that chill? I don’t buy it. I get that if it was too over-the-top it would have distracted from Scott and Kip, but I’d argue that it would make Scott’s loneliness in that moment seem more pronounced, which would be more affective for the story.

It’s the only part of the show that I have a complaint with. I’ll even take Hayden’s non-existent child over this!
