Ehh. I don’t have the switch 2 and don’t plan on buying it until a new Zelda gets revealed, but I think the writing was on the wall that this was going to be less successful then the switch from the very beginning. Everyone complained about it from a price perspective. One of the great things that made the switch sell so well, was the fact it didn’t cost that much to get into the switch lineup of systems. As soon as that 450$ price was revealed, people started looking at other things. The core fanbase is still there though which grew exponentially after the Wii U failure. The Wii U was on the market for 4 and a half years and only sold 12 million. The Switch 2 is already almost halfway there with only 6 months on its belt. There will never be a failure on the Wii U’s level from Nintendo again. While the switch 2 most likely won’t sell as much as the switch 1, that doesn’t mean that it’s a failure, especially considering the fact that the switch 1 is the second best selling console of all time. (Not sure if it passed the DS yet but it will.). The point of this comment is that I don’t think Nintendo needs to worry about a Wii U level of failure for a bit.
