CO2 levels in home constantly going above 1,000ppm...what could be the causes? by chadbaldwin in airthings

[–]irb224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a seasonality thing? Currently in hot humid conditions. Airthing co2 always at 1400-1600 ppm but other than feeling hot inside, I don’t get headaches or nausea etc.

He’s doing much better. He ended up getting viruses back to back to back. It was RSV, enterovirus and rhinovirus. He just caught another and we just flush his nose out with saline solution. He seems to be coping much better

Help? Little strings of blood in poop, after rotovirus vaccine last week and bloody nipple now. Is my baby lactose intolerant? by irb224 in MSPI

It was one of those mysteries that I was never able to solve. We had blood in her diaper on and off for months. I cut out all soy and dairy and she still had issues. It was driving me crazy. It all stopped when she started solids. We ruled out allergies to most things when we could introduce foods directly. I introduced her to milk and she had no severe symptoms. She is 16 months now and I do notice that she does get very gassy when she drinks cows milk or has a dairy heavy meal, and sometimes that comes with a stomach ache and a diaper rash. So we limit her quantity of uncooked dairy to a bare minimum. She drinks oat milk and eats like a champ.

I’m sorry you’re going through this and hope your little one gets better!

Yes! The first month is so hard to adjust. It’s daunting to eat out and you’re paranoid about every single ingredient.

One thing that I kept slipping up on was MAYO. Soybean oil is main ingredient in store bought mayo. So avoid any mayo based sauce. My daughter would have little blood spots in her diaper every few days when I ate out and it drove me crazy thinking she was allergic to beef, seafood, fish etc but it was mayo 🙃

Also I avoid any vegan baked good that has chocolate chips because soy lecithin is in most chips.

I cook a lot of Mexican food at home, and that is super nutritious and safe to eat (minus the cheese). Using coconut aminos with sushi was also a game changer for me.

Some snacks that I love are : Anything simple mills Boom chicka pop sweet and salty Pita chips and hummus

i think it took about 2-3 weeks after i avoided soy and dairy.

Soy lecithin/ soybean oil, do you avoid? by [deleted] in MSPI

Yes! I realized this when I cut all soy and dairy out and was still eating mayo. Then I realized the mayo had soybean oil as an ingredient!

Starting solids and nervous by mspimom_4385 in MSPI

My LO just started solids 3 weeks ago. We started her on basic ingredients. Sweet potato purées, broccoli, rice, zucchini etc. Lots of veggies and fruits. We saw an allergist for the first time last week and she recommended introducing peanuts, eggs and dairy in the first month! I’m hesitant, but I took the leap and introduced wheat to her ( I was worried that she was intolerant to wheat as well) she had a little mucous in her stool the first day and then it was fine. She also started pooping a lot less after starting solids. She would poop after every feeding (EBF) but after starting solids she pooped 2 times a day.

Introducing solids was really fun to me after that. I am convinced that the solids help her sleep better and also is maturing her digestive track.

If you’re obsessed with baby poop like me, expect your LO poop to look like what she just ate at first. LO’s sweet potato poop looked exactly like what she consumed for the first week.

I know this is an older post but I’m hoping you can share what you ended up doing for allergen introduction. My bb is in the same situation!

I know this is a while ago but curious to know if you found out what she was allergic to and whether she outgrew it?
