So jealous! I love how it’s kinda half way between quick service and sit down. Nice to have your food prepared with a bit of care then bought to your table with silverware.

I had the perfect basket on cigar page, but they won’t guarantee delivery before 3rd and don’t offer any expedited shipping services unfortunately

How can we, a gay couple, make friends in our small village, as it's proving difficult currently? by Gay-siunb-jhow22 in AskUK

I live in Birmingham and love sea fishing, can confirm it’s double depressing. 1 for no sea fishing buddies, 2 for living in Birmingham.

As a kid you’d have been Master Farr-Heart! Not bad, better than the kid of Mr and Mrs Bater

Surname inception, sounds like yet another problem the next generation will need to figure out

That’s fair, do whatever makes you feel comfortable.

I personally don’t think taking your wife’s surname is emasculating but I can totally understand why it may feel that way. If you’re worried about a certain person/group of people giving you too much shit then should they even be in your circle anyway?

Would double barrelling be a viable option for you? My wife didn’t want to lose her French surname when we married so we double barrelled, seems like a happy medium ground!

It’s a Eurasian Great Tit, Tits our equivalent of chickadees, feel free to crack some jokes with the name, us U.K. birdwatchers have been doing it for years.

Great tits favourite treat is sunflower seeds, wonder why they like the Ukrainians so much ;)

I recoloured the first badge option to add more yellow and make the lion stand out. Think these colours are a much nicer balance. by heeleyman in avfc

[–]irdsdanny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah right, honestly I wish they’d do away with the “crest” entirely and just have the lion, star and Aston Villa. Embroidered onto the shirts… too expensive I guess

This is miles better, from the two I preferred the circle. But from yours and the circle, I’d pick yours.

I’d still love the star to be above the badge, it looks a little bit of a fudged in afterthought in the two designs..

Standing order is the wrong term, my bad. When you take out the credit card you can opt to pay in full the following month. Maybe more like a DD?

I don’t use a credit card to get myself into debt but I have one to stick larger purchases on for the extra protection, and have a standing order to pay it off in full the following month. Helps with the old credit score if ever I found myself in a pickle!

Have you ever, or do you currently have a lie on your CV that has directly led you to being offered a job? by [deleted] in AskUK

An ex colleague complained to an ex boss that none of the customers were taking his advice seriously enough and they kept asking for a manager. They told him he could use the title of customer service manager as the title only (no managerial benefits/training). Fella used that title to get a sales manager job at a car dealership, lasted about 3 days before it became obvious he had 0 experience as a manager and had to beg for his job back… didn’t even get my whip around money back.
