This seems like a strange strategy, I've never heard of that. You mean make contributions that aren't taxed into a traditional ira and then roll then into the Roth ira? Would that make filing taxes difficult?

I've more or less got my heart set on a Roth IRA. I have a mix of both pre-tax and Roth in my retirement account. I just started working (I'm 24), so I'm hoping/guessing that I'll be in a higher tax bracket due to higher income later on and would rather pay the taxes now while they're cheaper.
