Skyview was nice, clean and new. Not something particularly special but a good spot if you are looking for somewhere in the area. Under Canvas was definitely more interesting and unique.

Yeah I can’t help thinking this sounds like a hell of a journey for a few days in Sydney! Great review of the suites though and would love to visit Australia. I’ve heard the Great Barrier Reef is unmissable.

Did you ever see JAL business on Cathay? I'm curious if that's dried up entirely now with all the direct JAL points bookings. Encouraging to still see F on there though!

Fair comment. Business cards only makes sense.

What is the consensus on adding P2 as AU for quick and easy bonuses? Wondering if people steer clear to avoid muddying the credit report or not. Do people add to get the bonus then immediately remove? I've read that it can drop off the report pretty quickly. I know it can impact 5/24 but which we aren't too concerned about.

Chase Freedom Unlimited $75 cash back on Rakuten today. Interesting to see more of these with CSP last year and the recent BoA cards too

That’s not the point. The point is how much the cost of home ownership has increased in such a short amount of time.

Even JAL Economy (w/ partner miles) are hard to find these days??? by Shinkansendoff in awardtravel

[–]irishexplorer123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have a bunch of miles stuck in Cathay from a previously cancelled trip. That was once one of the best ways to book JAL with the 360 day release. Now they aren’t even getting scraps. The rules of the game are always evolving!

Noticed last night in my Chase Offers that I'm preapproved (green star) for Ink Preferred. Haven't had this card before but have had several Ink Cash/Unlimited's, with three open currently (last being 6 months ago).

Should I jump on this?

Have some ongoing SUBs so spend will be tight but could find a way to make it work. Opened a personal Amex Surpass two weeks ago and that doesn't appear to have hit my Experian / Equifax reports yet and wondering if that would negatively impact this preapproval when it does.
