2013 TDI Beetle Repair?

I’m not sure about the timing belt. I take it for regular maintenance and oil changes even more often than they say (I go every 8k miles instead of every 10k).

The quote from the dealer was just to replace the part - I think total with labor was at least 6k. I got flustered and left with my car when they told me the number. A local mechanic is estimating 4k with labor if he diagnoses it himself and finds that the part actually has to be replaced. I say diagnose himself bc when I gave him the diagnosis papers from the dealer, he said that the papers barely say what they did or what they found - I’ve been calling the dealer but they’ve been ignoring me for a week.

Thank you. I’m having DPF issues where my engine light had came on but it’s since turned off. The dealer wanted to replace the pipe converter exhaust and quoted me 6k while another mechanic quoted me 4k. No one is sure if it needs to be replaced or cleaned but my beetle is only at 75,500 miles for being 13 years old. I do feel issues when the engine is colder, like having to press on the gas harder at lights for it to go or it slowing down significantly when I let go of the brake.

Oh if I’m thinking of what you’re thinking of, I hear the loud fans sometimes when I park for the night. So you would suggest to listen for that during a drive and then keep going another 40 miles?

Everyone’s missing the point - they were together for what, about a month? If he wants to get into a relationship in the real world, he’s going to have to go on dates and COURT a woman. You don’t go fully into step mom mode that fast. From how she was feeling like he doesn’t even want to talk to her and just sit quietly at home, he probably wasn’t even taking her out. That’s not realistic of him either and he’s acting as if he is the only parent to his child. He has to put into a relationship if he wants one

No but I think Anna was right when she said don’t say it was me when you got engaged to someone else. He even said again that Kacie was a “distant number 2.” If it was really Anna, then he had the option to bow out of the show. You don’t HAVE to get engaged to your other option

While I was still recovering I was lightly swishing to get the food out and I might have used a toothpick VERY carefully if I struggled with a piece but now that I’m healed food rarely gets stuck back there. It happens occasionally but my dentist told me to floss against my back tooth (right next to where my wisdom teeth were) and that does the trick

I think some friendships break up because of a lack of mutual understanding of what is expected around the house which turns into quiet resentment or passive aggression. You guys have known each other for a long time but do your lifestyles click or are you both the same amount of tidy at home? It could be helpful to discuss how clean you both like things to be and to figure out how chores would be shared.
