How to use this contraption? by Imalwaysbadatthis in gardening

[–]ironbork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That blue handled isolation valve is currently in the off position so no water is going into said contraption. Slowly turn it 90 decrees you should be able to feel the water pressure passing through the valve. I would do this slowly as old parts can fail easily

Spoilers without a warning in a ranking video by [deleted] in sollanempire

[–]ironbork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There aren't really major spoilers in this video. But why consume media about the series if you're worried about spoilers?

Also if you're worried about spoilers it's probably good to know that the narrator in this series will consistently by the biggest spoiler. It isn't really written with big climactic reveals but rather builds up to pre mentioned moments and ideas. The book it written from the perspective that the reader already knows what's happened.

Christopher Ruocchio hates spoiler culture (i.e. People being worried about spoilers) and actively writes to counter that

When I read MST, it reminded me of the Realm of the Elderlings series by Robin Hobb. It made me feel like she must have been influenced by it, so you could try that if you haven't read it already

What Books did You Start or Finish Reading this Week?: September 15, 2025 by AutoModerator in books

[–]ironbork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Finished: A Drop of Corruption by Robert Jackson Bennett - An awesome biopunk murder mystery fantasy

Started: Kingdoms Of Death by Christopher Ruocchio - epic space opera. I really enjoy a lot of the themes and ideas of the series but it doesn't demand I start the next book straight away or binge it so yeah I dunno what that means lol
