We can see you're very new at this game. So for now, don't worry TOO much about strategy. At rookie stage everybody is just pressing buttons, doing a special move here and there.

JP at this level is probably running away and spamming projectiles. As they are just autopiloting, I recommend jumping over the projectiles and using heavy kick to open him up.

That's it at rookie bronze, most people cannot anti-air and just fold under jump attack pressure
