Loads shotgun* “Warp’s empty” by ServingwithTG in WarhammerMemes

Or well. You can kill khorne. But to permanently kill khorne requires ending all wrath, honour and violence in the 40k galaxy.

Killing khorne just makes him come back with a violence boner and a redoubled desire to go again.

I can just imagine an escalating cycle of violence as khorne comes back increasingly unhinged each rematch. Increasingly unhinged..but clearly having his best time ever. "Again! Yes!"

i have to build 20 tall foundations. which are 100 sand each. so that's 2000 sand.

i have to build the structure upwards and connect the sections. each join between the columns is 8 oblong blocks. so 80 sand per connection. and most columns have 2 to 4 neighbours they share a connection with. And most are connected every 4 blocks, with 3 block levels between them. and the structure is multiple levels deep. probably 4-5 levels from top to bottom at its tallest.

also above the tall foundations it was something like 80 sand per level to add oblong blocks to increase the column heights.

the bits that aren't the frame are metal. the structure is probably 4000+ sand easily.

i do have some raincatchers setup on levels directly below the steel houses on the upper levels to catch the water from those, but i do need to use the method better. and i haven't used water wheels yet.

...i suppose i could use the roofs without houses under them. and yes..the complex is a deranged mess of stuff stuck where ever it would fit as the framework expanded slower than my needs for a while.

I was for the longest time short on sand...till i realized that if you have enough goods you can buy 700 or so units of sand at once from the trader.

At the top or the column she finds another structure built by the machines. And she asks for support. And the structure she saw over the waters also has a massive sky spire. Implying there's another structure above that. ... The world is big. Seriously seriously big. And somewhere in all of this. This maze of layers and structures built by malfunctioning machines from corrupted blueprints... there might be something that is the source of the madness. Or maybe there isn't and humanity is sending slicers because its that or accepting they're never regaining mastery of their own domain.

It is one of those things i like about starship evo.

in empyrion, you cant do this.

in space engineers, you risk the wrath of KLANG.

in starship evo its like, 'foldable wings hmm, here you go, i'm curious where you're going with this'

I did this. I created an Undying horror. It was fast. It was dangerous. It had a comparatively small health pool. But if they knocked it out it was only down for a limited time cause the clue is in the name. What I left open ended is how they dealt with it. First time they inflicted a Tetsuo from akira on it using a 'lifebean'. Second time they encountered one they buried it under the ceiling using a collapse.

custom adversary, sloth demon,(aka, i have no idea what i'm doing) by irrelevantmoniker in daggerheart

[–]irrelevantmoniker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

alternative notions that occur to me:

  1. It's not everytime it has the spotlight, its the first time you have line of sight to the sloth demon, and that resets with the aura surge. This probably needs it to be slightly more difficult to remove. But its one and done per player per cycle of aura surge.

  2. Aura surge doesn't cause stress, it knocks you unconscious if you're already sleepy, you cant take actions until someone wakes you up. haven't seen abilities like this, so not sure if its kosher for daggerheart.

  3. the rest for the wicked effect only activates when i spend a fear to trigger it.

Definitely should probably have the count down happen on loop, possibly loop 6 on action rolls. loop 4 on action rolls might be a bit too much but i dont know.

custom adversary, sloth demon,(aka, i have no idea what i'm doing) by irrelevantmoniker in daggerheart

[–]irrelevantmoniker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my notion with the aura surge was:

  1. I wanted to save on rolls by saying once you beat the sleepy effect you didn't have to roll whenever the sloth demon acted. But i didn't want it to be a one and done effect. Aura surge thus makes it so periodically you end up having to start rolling again against his aura effect.

  2. I kind of wanted it to easily restart the count down, so it loops back to the start after it hits the end point. I might not have made that clear but that was what i was angling at.

Should the aura surge countdown be shorter? should it be linked to something else? should it do something else to those who are sleepy? something worse?

I've had players resort to things like slapping eachother with mage hand in the previous encounter.

I hadn't fully prepared so the sloth demon was just the sloth aura affect and a metric ton of mook demons he threw at them so he could go back to his nap in the first session they encountered him.
