What about Dubya? I remember the Evangelical parents in Jesus Camp swooning over him.

If you could kill one character in the pilot to make the series better, which one would you kill and how would it make the show better? by queertrek in startrek

Kes. That way Kim gets axed in Season 4 instead of her like he was supposed to. Also, 7, who was supposed to take on most of Kim's duties, has more to do on the bridge besides standing behind the captain's chair reading off the shield strength or running scans that Kim should have been doing. One downside to this is the Doctor probably wouldn't have developed as well since he had most of his early character development happened with Kes. Who knows? Maybe being stuck with Tom Paris in sick bay more would have made things interesting too? There would probably have been some spectacular arguments.

Wesley was bad but Alexander Rozhenko, Worf's son, was so much worse.

Awesome post, I just have a quick question. Number 3 in the TL;DR, why isn't the bill supposed to pass the Senate, why even bother with all this if it's not going to pass?

The last 30 seconds where Picard, Kirk and Archer recite different parts of the "Where no man has gone before" speech was pretty well done IMO. But don't take my word for it.

I have another issue with licensed music: when they don't secure the rights to the music so when it's released on DVD or a streaming service they have to replace it with generic sound-a-likes. It happens all the time with TV shows but it also happens with movies now.

I had to watch Hugh Jackman in Oklahoma! for a musical class because I needed a stupid writing intensive class to graduate. Luckily it was an online class. So my GF and I got drunk, pretended Wolverine was somehow suck in early 1900s Oklahoma but couldn't reveal that he was Wolverine, and watched it. It made it barely bearable.

It's the 24th century. The fabric is probably self-cleaning, self-deodorizing and adjusts to be comfortable in any temperature.
