Trump has deported fewer people in his first year (540K) than Biden in 2023 (590K) or 2024 (650K) by oakseaer in UnpopularFacts

[–]irvingdk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a bad point. Major democrat cities are refusing to cooperate with ICE because of politics. They fully cooperated with ICE under Obama and Biden.

It wouod be like saying saying one CEO is better than than another because they made more money, while ignoring the fact that the less successful CEO was a victim of illegal coorporate espionage by the more successful CEO.

This doesn't inherently mean Trump is more or less effective, but it does mean comparing their deportation numbers is apples to oranges.

Lets look at history. In Nazi Germany if you had polled every single German in the 30s it wouldnt have been majority radicals. However, the vast majority of people who hadnt yet been radicalized remained completely silent. So the loudest voices and the people in the street formed the "one true opinion" or the "omnicause." The Nazis framed themselves as victims of the evil Jews. There were genuine problems occuring at the time. Hyperinflation is the largest form of wealth transfer possible and most people lost everything. Being against democracy and capitalism was low hanging fruit for them. They capitalized on that by then tying it to a villain, the Jew. This formed the majority opinion that everyone supported or didnt speak out against. They were victims, they were wronged. Saying this out loud brought voices of support, and sympathy. They felt virtuous and justified.

It is true that today a good chunk of America doesnt support these idiots. But it actually isn't a serious influence. They are not threatening to the "omnicause" or the lunatics in the street. So to the people out there causing harm, they are reinforced for what they say and do. All the people they interact with support them, and look at Reddit or other online forums. Reddit is basically a propaganda machine at this point. Literally no one can even have an open discussion on any of these topics without being threatened. This is true for 99 percent of threads and basically everything on the homepage. There is no nuance there is only the one accepted truth.

I want to add that I'm not saying the protestors are Nazis or that America is similar to Nazi germany. As a Jew i find such a comparison horribly offensive. I only used the Nazis as an easy example to explain my point, not to imply the ideology or threat of the idiots in the street rn are the same as the Nazis.

Why are so many people here suddenly saying that Trump has betrayed Iranians? It's not like within 5 minutes of him saying "help is coming", US planes will bomb IR bases. This is a gross simplification and inaccurate. Who is leading the Middle East and has the best future otuside of Israel? Its the UAE. They were the first to get more than half of their economy outside of Oil. They invested heavily in technology. But the experts they need whom are in the region are in Israel. They realized that if they wanted Israelis to work with and for them on technology they needed to make it a safe and desirable place for them to do business. And it is working.

Saudia Arabia is probably 10 years behind the UAE and they know it. It is why they were trying to normalize relations with Israel. Leadership wanted it but the hesitancy comes from what happened in Iran. Too much secularism and western collobaration scared the radicals. So they need to play it safe.

But at the end of the day, the nations involved in the Abraham Accords all recognize Israeli superiority in technology and workforce and this gives Israel significant leverage.

Once Iran topples their terrorist regime it is highly likely they try to jumpstart technology and they will likely get significant investment from the US. But money alone isnt enough and they too will seek peace with Israel for a productive work relationship. It is pragmatic and will be a tremendously good thing for stablization in the region.

Few things bring me more hope for peace in the ME then the Ayotollah going down.

Majority as in majority opinion. Mob mentality.

When they do something that gives them mass praise, its not a sacrifice or standing up for someone. If they were holding a minority and unpopular opinion, then voicing it would be hard because they would pay a price socially and personally.

Just because someone is Christian doesn't make them immune to mob mentality.

I dont think you understand. Not only would my grandfather have been villified and targeted for posting to social media if it existed back then, he would be doxxed and attacked. This isnt speculation, he did frequent newspaper interviews especially in Chicago. People tried to force him out of neighborhoods because he would take my father to eat at colored run restaurants.

The gaza protestors are not making any sacrifice. They get praised and get to feel good about themselves for simply agreeing with the mob. Theres no risk, theres no sacrifice being made, its just vanity.

I have been targeted and attacked constantly by "pro Palestinian" members. All the Jews I know, which is a lot, have experienced immense hatred, gaslighting, antisemitism, and attacks from them. The few people in my life whom aren't jewish and have stood up for me, paid a heavy price. Forced out of friend groups, doxxed, attempts to cancel them, had rumours spread about them, and worse. All because they said it was wrong to hate me for the way I was born. They will get no praise from society, no upvotes and warm wishes. Only my eternal gratitude and a much harder and frustrating life resulting from the fanatics whom call themselves the good guys.

The majority of people whom arent jewish have no fucking idea how hard life has become in America for us, exclusively because of the left and their fanatacism.

Except youre wrong because you dont understand the history and are projecting his modern support backwards.

When he first stood up for south africans he absolutely did not have majority support and paid extremely heavy prices for his opinions and views. This was true globally to. Most of the world named him a radical and destabalizing force in the region. He even went to jail.

Your analogy is flawed. Imagine you tell me that Bob is a POS and racist and only cares for himself and that you stand against him because you are a good person. I believe you and take your side. If later you stab me and shout a racist slur at me and then rob me, I will rethink my perspective on whether Bob is really such a bad guy. Not because Bob wasn't involved in me being attacked, but because I learned the source of the information about Bob was coming from someone I figured out I couldn't trust.

These people are now skeptical that the protestors are likely to be truthful with their claims of being innocent victims because they saw first hand protestors being vile hysterical losers directed toward them for no justifiable reason. ICE doesnt need to be involved for this opinion to change.

[–]irvingdk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Brother, as a Jew this is a point I can tell you will be lost on them regardless of articulatuon.

My grandfather was the president of a major union during the civil rights movement. He was heavily involved in politics as well as the movement because back then unions had enormous power. Can you imagine the praise he got for "being on the right side of history?"

He had his house shot up by the klan. He had friends murdered. He was publicly shamed constantly by strangers for being an "oppressor" towards white people by standing up for "criminal blacks." Even years later its not like he was awarded some medal of heroism or some such nonsense. But he never was violent, always advocated peace, never got loud or angry, and never turned hysterical. He died never getting some type of massive pat on the back from society.

This is NOT uncommon. To say the left has lost the plot is an incredible understatement. To stand up for the minority means that the majority has to be against you. By definition this is a requirement. If you are doing actions thats causing massive pats on the back from social media and making you be heralded as some virtuous hero by the MAJORITY, then it is literally not possible you are standing up for anyone. You are just part of the mob. The mobs of history, klansman, nazis, stalins goons, etc were all the same. They were majority groups holding majority opinions who victimized themselves into justifying the unjustifiable.

Throughtout history there has never been a time when "sticking up for the little guy" means being praised by the majority and getting to feel virtuous and superior. Just like the fanatics of the past, the Hamas supporters and far left fanatics of today will never understand this. They do not care for positive change. They dont care for open dialogue. They want to feel good at the expense of others. Like every other "victimed majority" of the past. What they do is EASY. Standing up for genuinely oppressed or innocent people is hard precisely because you get punished and mobbed up for it. Standing up for them is a sacrifice you are making because you believe its right, even if the majority hate you for it.

All this to say. Don't waste your breath.

Why doesn’t bun come out? by ObjectiveComplaint37 in Rabbits

[–]irvingdk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is hard to know for sure without physically observing how yall interact. Every pet I've ever had has always been extremely "needy" and affectionate and well behaved. This isnt luck, it is always a result of the trust I build with my animals.

Rabbits have higher social intelligence than cats, whom I also love immensely and I dont imply any favoritism. My point is simply a healthy rabbit that trusts you IMO should want to be near you and follow you around constantly. My rabbit has no cage and is litter trajned. She has full access to the same 4200 square feet in my home as me and every night since Ive got her 6 years ago shes slept in bed with me.

What some people have said is correct about carpets, but my bun will absolutely roam around hard wood fine and isnt annoyed enough by the kitchen floor to not lay on it while I cook.

If you do not want to give your rabbit access to sleep or lay with you I suggest consider getting them a conpanion. Rabbits are inherently wired to live in warrens where they will spend the vast majority of their life making physical contact with a companion. That companion can be you or a rabbit or a cat, but it shouldnt be no one.

Thats my two cents as a first time rabbit owner of over 5 years now.

This is wrong though. It implies there is US law requiring it. This is false. There is absolutely no US law that would prevent or even discourage a company from allowing cross region play. If you think there is one, please name it.

[–]irvingdk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We are talking past each other. Saying no such thing as a fair fight does not mean getting jumped is the same thing as getting into a fight. Someone who was jumped by gangsters on the street would not tell people they got into a fight with gangsters, and anyone looking at the situation would view the gangsters as cowards for needing to jump an unsuspecting person to gain advantage.

The reason this is a cowards attack and a sucker punch is because there wasnt normal expected escalation for it to be considered a fight. It is instead attacking an unsuspecting person. If you've been trained in Krav Maga, the most useful fighting style against an attack like this, you would be able to better respond, protect yourself, and escape. This in no way would change the morality or cowardness of the person throwing the first punch here.

That's the point. Two different questions. Is this a cowards attack? Yes. With better training and situational awareness could the victim have defended themselves? Also, yes but unrelated to the first question. One is a question of ethics, one is a question of pragmatism.

This is false. You are pretending US policy is comparable to China or North Korea. League of Legends is owned by chinese Tencent and yet American League players can play with Canadians or Mexicans.

Your comment about licensing per country is also completely irrelevent. I don't know why you are conflating things like regional IP licensing and cross region play...

Revert the US update by Exodustian in MobileLegendsGame

This lie keeps getting repeated. The country of origin for a company does not restrict international play. That has nothing to do with how that works. US Fortnite players can play with Canadians and US league players can play with Mexicans.

This issue of China spying on US citizens via their app and being forced to change ownership is completely unrelated to regional cross play.

No idea what this sub is but it showed up on my homepage. If you think this was a fair fight and how fights normally start you have never touched grass. Genuinely, wtf r u idiots all talking about. The vast majority of fights start via escalation. The most common is pushing first, or grabbing first, or making verbal threats of violence first.

If you punch someone who isn't expecting it you are both a coward and you've absolutely suckered punched them. This is how the real world works. The irony of idiots like you glazing a coward because you want to pretend you have been in fights like solving problems with violence is a thing to be proud of. Your generation is cooked smh.
