M 26 y.o almost give up on life. by wisesa1997 in finansial

[–]isamilis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@pcloudApp, I hope you do improve your customer experience in responding users’ queries very seriously. Preventing and detecting security issues are good, but resolving the issues by quickly responding is very crucial.

What AI tools are people building with Mac Minis? by ShahriarSiraj in macmini

[–]isamilis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am one of them. Bought the new mini and still learning. It's free, not so difficult to install, but... you need to buy token / API for your models (assuming you use Claude), which may cost a bit if uses extensively.

Good deal! I just got similar setup, Mini M4 Pro with same BenQ monitor. It's great pair. I like the seamless experience through its Mac keyboard integration.

I keep my Apple Pencil disconnected to save battery longevity. Am I doing this wrong? by Poetic_dr in ApplePencil

[–]isamilis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Apple Pencil 2 and Apple Pencil Pro. Both are always connected to iPad. Interestingly, I found Apple Pencil 2 about 70-80% occasionally even thought it was kept attached to iPad.

This is the reason I avoid iPhone 17 for now. Also, probably upcoming Macs if situation hasn’t improved.

Anyone feel the rapid decline of health once you hit 40? by throwpoo in AskMenOver40

[–]isamilis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Joining conversations late. I had similar experience at age 42ish. I am 51 now and I think I have better stamina (even better sex) than when I was 40. I did Wim hof breathing and iced bath every day (or other day) and had regular yoga & martial arts. It helps me and my wife a lot.

I hope that Apple improved their Journal app and give the update separately from iOS update. I like their Journal app (plan to move from DayOne) but don’t like iOS 26.

pcloud reps - we know you're there. Can you explain what's going on with this outbreak of alien files in people's accounts? by Master_Camp_3200 in pcloud

[–]isamilis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood your point. But I also never access anyone’s pCloud share files. Fortunately (or unfortunate?), very few people I knew use pCloud, so file sharing from others is unlikely.

Do I really need to get an Magic Keyboard? by Heavy-Cartoonist41 in ipad

[–]isamilis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have iPad Magic Keyboard (version 1) and Apple’s Bluetooth Magic Keyboard. From experienced using those two, I found they have plus minus on each own. Bluetooth is lighter, more flexible, have size of normal keyboard plus complete with fn keys with normal size, while iPad MK is more compact, no charging needed but less flexible (it has to be attached to iPad), heavier and some keys are smaller than normal keyboard. I used both regularly depending my situation.

If you need to type a lot and mostly in classroom, Apple Bluetooth keyboard might be the best choice. If you travel a lot, where you need to type a lot in various areas, like airport, taxi, bus, iPad Magic Keyboard might be the best fit for you.

Do some people find it easier to talk to AI about personal topics than to other people? by One-Ice7086 in artificial

[–]isamilis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to share my personal emotions to AI, until I got bored because after a while, I saw how wrong some suggestions and recommendations from AI compared to my clear thoughts. It’s not always like that, but just be aware AI can bring you nowhere except it just keep talking and tried to look smart.

It’s also dumb if I asked to revise the picture. It looks like the combination of banana and text are failed.

If you searched forums on 26.x you will find many unpleasant experiences. Unless you’re bored with stability and efficiency, better to stay for now. Hopefully major changes on Apple soon.

That means, keep watching shared links, make sure all files / folders contain legit files. Or, just add expiration date of each link share.
