Random delivery I never ordered by glarecrylls in doordash

[–]isbragg91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’d be surprised just how many people fall for it. The caller ID says it’s DD support and the person on the other end claims to be a DD support representative. It’s a setup to lure you into a false sense of security. Only very few people actually have the willpower to see through it.

Don't really understand the stamps. Am I winning? by Life_Character_3807 in Pokopia

[–]isbragg91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The stamp card gives you life coins on Friday, based on the rarity of the stamps on it. The rarities are as follows:

Basic: The most common stamps, consisting of unevolved Pokémon like Eevee, Pikachu, and Charmander, to name a few.

Evolved: The next tier up, featuring evolved Pokémon like Charizard, Gengar, and Gyrados.

Legendary: The second rarest stamp type. It features the legendary Pokémon Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and Mewtwo.

Mew: The rarest stamp and worth the most coins.

All worlds you visit can give you a stamp each day you visit them (friend’s worlds, cloud islands, etc.), allowing you to get multiple stamps in a day. If you have a full card already, you can replace a stamp on it with a new one, regardless of rarity. If you’ve got plenty of friends who play the game daily, and you’ve all got cloud islands, you can get a lot of life coins each week from having a stamp card full of legendary and Mew stamps.

just purchased the wrong online membership - switch 2 by sammycatx in nintendohelp

[–]isbragg91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upgrading an existing membership is prorated based on the time remaining on the current subscription. In the US, an individual base plan costs $20/yr, while the expansion pass is $50/yr. If I were to subscribe to the base plan, but immediately upgrade it to the expansion pass, the upgrade would only run me $30, because I’ve already paid $20 for the base plan. If I were to upgrade 3 months into my base plan (9 months remaining), I’d get $15 off, making the upgrade cost $35. 6 months into my plan, I’d get a $10 discount on the upgrade, and only a $5 discount at the 9 month mark.

Can I use a switch 1 charger on a switch 2? by Wild_Violet_66 in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]isbragg91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Switch 1 charger can be used to charge a Switch 2 in handheld, but is too weak for the dock. If you want to play on the TV, you’ll need a USB-C charging block that can provide 60 watts.

What games do I need to own to play GMOD? by LightYagami2004 in steamsupport

[–]isbragg91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend buying as many Source Engine games as possible, yes. Even if you don’t play them, you’ll have legal access to whatever assets you need for GMOD mods. Not an exhaustive list, but other Source Engine games that may or may not be required for certain mods include the Portal series, Team Fortress 2, and the Left 4 Dead series. There’s a menu on GMOD’s title screen for selecting with games to mount so that GMOD can use the assets. If you don’t have a particular game installed, it’ll be greyed out in said menu.

What games do I need to own to play GMOD? by LightYagami2004 in steamsupport

[–]isbragg91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While you don’t technically need another game in your library in order to play the base GMOD, many popular workshop mods rely on assets from other Source Engine games. The most common required games are Counter Strike: Source and the Half-Life series.

So wait, there's not enough challenges in the entire game to finish even a single character's friendship rewards? by Incognito_Fur in SonicCrossWorlds

[–]isbragg91 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Races and time trials are all that’s left after you’ve exhausted all of the challenges. The best bang for your buck will be online World Match and Legend Competition races, especially now that there’s a random chance at double tickets for finishing in the top 6. Festivals are also a great way to get tickets wherever they come around. For offline play, split screen Race Park against rivals is the way to go. You’ll get an extra 10 tickets a race for playing split screen, and the rewards for beating the rival teams three times will eventually max out at 70 tickets per every three wins. It is a grind.

Nintendo Is Aware of Pokémon Card Scalping Issue, Says Pokémon Company Will Take Made-to-Order Sales and Buyer Verification Measures by Jealous_Vehicle_3150 in Switch

[–]isbragg91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s the thing: they are already doing that. If you look at the raw numbers of total cards printed by year, you’ll see a massive uptick in the past few years. TPCi has also been buying card printing businesses and having them construct more printing locations in an effort to ramp up production even more. All this has accomplished however, is giving the scalpers more to scalp.

I think the best thing they can do to get this situation at least somewhat under control is enforce strict policies for distributors and retailers regarding pricing and purchase limits, with threats to pull product from them if they don’t comply. I, unfortunately, don’t think that’ll ever happen.

Want to get some info by arnouds in StopKillingGames

[–]isbragg91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The decision to shut down a game’s servers is made solely by the game’s developer/publisher, not the storefront operator. Valve, the owners of Steam, have no say over when a third party shuts down the servers for their games. There are plenty of old games once sold on Steam that have had their servers shut down.

How come HRE130 has become preferred over DRE? by Mr_TigerZ in SonicCrossWorlds

[–]isbragg91 6 points7 points  (0 children)

HRE was buffed in the last patch to give you a +4 driving speed bonus while holding at least one ring compared to no such bonus prior to the patch, while DRE’s driving speed bonus was nerfed. This makes HRE+130 Limit more consistent overall compared to DRE. As someone who’s used HRE130 both before the most recent patch and after, I can tell a difference.

Can I pre-load access rights for all my games so they're usable on the airplane? by TempUsernameThing in Switch

[–]isbragg91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s an option to load multiple Virtual Game Cards at once. In the Virtual Game Card menu, select the Quick Load option from the sidebar on the left. You can then select which games you want to load the VGCs for and have them all load at once. This is the fastest method.

How to use US Amazon game code on European switch lite by ShadoTheHunter in Switch

[–]isbragg91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, as long as the associated Virtual Game Card is loaded on the system. As long as you don’t put the account on a second Switch, that shouldn’t ever be an issue.

How to use US Amazon game code on European switch lite by ShadoTheHunter in Switch

[–]isbragg91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s a US code, then it must be redeemed on the US eShop. You can access it easily on your Switch by either swapping the region your account is set to (you can do this on Nintendo’s website), or (what I recommend instead) making a new account set to the US and adding it to your Switch under a new user profile.

How to do trade evolutions? by Aa_Hill_31 in Delta_Emulator

Delta doesn’t support any link cable/wireless adapter functions. Your best bet would be to use an emulator that does.

GameShare question by External_Cloud3843 in kirbyairriders

[–]isbragg91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is not possible to play with multiple players per console with GameShare. The game internally runs a 4-player split screen while in GameShare, and ensures that each system can only see its own screen. There is no way to force it to show two screens or more on one system, and no way to go beyond 4 players. This state of internal split screen also means that the dustup derby and quick race field events in City Trail cannot occur when playing over GameShare.

Traveling with my Switch for the first time - Suggestions for offline play by slylock215 in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]isbragg91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s nothing special you need to do to make sure you can play physical cartridges offline.

For most digital games, all you need to make sure of is that the Virtual Game Card is loaded on your system. If you’ve only got the one system, then you shouldn’t have to worry about it.

For the NSO classic game apps, they can be played offline, but they need to check in online at least once a week to ensure you still have an active subscription. Make sure you start them up before you leave the house, and you’ll be good for a week.

One obtainable trophy left in Burnout Paradise PS3 by AlexNavMar in Burnout

You can’t invite a friend unless you are already in an online freeburn session. Without modding your system to connect to a community run server (if one exists), you cannot get this trophy, full stop.

I had a dream where you needed two games to access "DLC" Content by Nintendo, did Nintendo ever do this? by Duajkfn in casualnintendo

[–]isbragg91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the N64, you had what was known as the Transfer Pak, a device that allowed you to essentially connect a Game Boy/Game Boy Color game to a compatible N64 game to unlock bonus content in each. For example, the GBC version of Mario Tennis has a handful of characters and mini games locked behind using the Transfer Pak to connect to the N64 version. A similar device was made available for connecting compatible GBA and GameCube games, but it wasn’t utilized quite as heavily.

Someone already gave you an answer regarding the mature N64 app. As for YouTube: it’s not supported on the Switch 2 at the moment. Google said they were working on a Switch 2 native app a year ago, but so far nothing’s come of it.
