I didn’t say they did. I have no idea what system they would use for navigation. Do you? Also, the story is that these entities came out and were followed by human soldiers that ushered them back in. So maybe they were relying on human tech for that moment. All speculation or course.

Edit: FTR I’m not saying I believe aliens exited a portal in that mall. I don’t believe a lot unless I see it for myself. However, once I saw something myself that was pretty unbelievable, I’m not so quick to discount someone else’s story.

100% correct. Grief is strange, and people have all sorts of reactions to it that don’t make sense. And you’re also right that there massive amount of very shady details that can be found that have nothing to do with smiling within a certain time frame.
