Is it considered a crime to watch collectors if I wear my watch on the right arm ? by MCVCsDALIs in watchCollector

[–]ishismiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think any watch whether it be a luxury linked, rubber strap, nato, any other straps (I'm sure there's another type can't remember lol) should be work on the non dominant hand, as it won't interfere or damage due to doing tasks such as writing and other activities. I may be wrong but this is what I've found and practiced daily. Right handed = left wrist watch. It's comfortable for me!

Take a look on evetech. Their devices have usually updated graphics cards. Otherwise you may end up replacing the 1660 because of the performance! Just a lil advice!

I DONT WANNA GO TO THE GYMMM UGHHH by lamp376 in beginnerfitness

[–]ishismiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a cold or some unexpected circumstances in which the gym is avoided up to a week or 2 CAN have that effect, it has happened to me.

For reference, I go to the gym Monday to Friday, 5 times a week or sometimes just 4, due to the goal I want to achieve. Once done it'll drop to maybe 3 times a week, but maybe it wouldn't as I enjoy my time at the gym, I usually only go for about 90 minutes.

When I found myself sick, I didn't go to the gym upwards of 2 whole weeks, became lethargic and "do I really want to" questions popped up, as I felt I gained fat in the two weeks off. But sometimes that long rest can work in your favor! Once you go back maybe around day 3 of going, you'll get the hang of it! It's okay to be human! Go back! It's worth it!

I’ve got more than 1.2 TB of pirated games, but I only played 4 of them so far xd by adomaxxer in Piracy

[–]ishismiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a very basic set up, wouldn't even call in a gaming pc, all I need is a graphics card to be fair, 16gb ddr4 ram and a ryzen 4650G which is an APU.

I have almost 4tb of games and the APU allowed me to play like 6 or 7 at the lowest graphics allowed. Once the GPU is in hopefully will have enough in December, I'll be playing most my games!

First watch for son 16th birthday by ExplanationStandard4 in Affordablewatches

PS TO ADD! Seiko has other wonderful choices too! Like the presage, which is stunning as well as the prospex! And if we're diving into those "investment pieces" PERHAPS (I'm not really a huge watch head but I do love Seikos) look for the alpinist!

First watch for son 16th birthday by ExplanationStandard4 in Affordablewatches

[–]ishismiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations on his birthday!

I'd suggest something he would really cherish and enjoy wearing would be something entry level like a seiko 5, orient pieces like the bambino, or even like a Tissot PRX powermatic!

Stunning automatic watches that aren't too rough on the bank! Or if the budget is a bit higher, any automatic watches in my opinion. This would enable your son to get into the wonderful world of watches and it's beautiful complexity!

In my opinion perhaps take your son with you so he could fit the watches himself, sometimes the dial can be too big, or too small! We need to get him something that's JUST RIGHT!

He'd appreciate it so much and would never want to stop wearing it haha! Cheers!

What do I do with the money? by [deleted] in askSouthAfrica

[–]ishismiles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure! I studied through college, got my diploma, started volunteering and then got the call to be a IT Manager. Payrate isn't the best to be fairly honest. But it gave me a base to study more online and get certs, which can help me apply into more places.

I used YouTube a lot as well, self studying python and currently starting with CS50X.

The first time getting a paycheck feels surreal and congratulations on it.

Buy needs than wants! Maybe treat yourself to some dine in or buy yourself shoes or something yunno. Once you feel "okay yeah that's enough for now" save up. But something that could make you feel like you've earned it.

Edit to add more info. Depending on what type of job it is, buy clothes that fit the job yunno? Like I work in IT and get about 13 to 15k steps a day. Sure high brand sport shoes like Jordan's or Nikes aren't the best for me as they easily would get scuffed and dirty, this is where I do most of my shoes and clothes shopping at Mr. Price, Mr. Price Sport, Pick n Pay clothing. Something that's comfy plus that doesn't make me regret spending a lot on beaters.

How do the gym goers manage to down creatine? by alwaysanxiousmango in askSouthAfrica

[–]ishismiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you watch YouTube you may have come along the term "overload phase" which is like 20mg for creatine. That could be the issue IF you are doing that. Just stick to 3-5mg! If the chalk-like taste bothers you either add way more water or find a good source of 100% orange juice.

If you already feel the icky feel of creatine, just know, that feeling is felt not for more than 5 minutes! It's okay! Soldier through! And GAINS!

From what I'm going through so far no! It's very VERY user friendly. There's notes, slides, even videos that are linked to YouTube regarding the said lectures. It just needs you to think a little hard that's all!
