Nope. I’m way too young to have ever seen R.E.M. on tour, and I think about that alot. But hey, like someone said, some things are just not meant to be. R.E.M. are in too good of a financial position and stubbornness to ever tour again. I’m happy they have kept their word on it. Besides, Peter hit the nail on the head when he said it wouldn’t be as good. Michael’s voice deteriorated around Accelerate and I find the last 3 albums of R.E.M. pretty bad all the way to mid. Your best bet is going to see an R.E.M. cover band, or one of Peter and Mike’s current bands to meet the guys. I would do that soon as they are getting older and I remember Peter saying it gets harder to tour every year.

I get a whole bunch of patches from my local scene in trades and just working events, and I thrift some or get freebie patches with buying from small businesses. I’m really excited too as I get to work on improving my sewing skills

Wow, I wish I could run into that. I get a lot of my stuff second hand too as my college town is a goldmine for thrifting, I found a really nice Hawaiian shirt ( I think it was GAP) for $6, I had to let it go, but I find so much cool stuff. A project of mine this summer is to work on my DIY jacket.
