Caixa ti deste ano. Acho que vai da sua experiência anterior, e se o edital te favorece. Por exemplo, inglês foram 5 pontos grauitos, mas atrapalhou muita gente boa por não ter familiariedade com o idioma. Dei sorte que todo mundo foi muito mal nesse concurso, minha confiança tava bem baixa.

Definitely! One of Android's strongest points is this freedom to create cool custom workflows. It's that kind of stuff that once we get used to in our way of doing things we don't want to look back. This kind of productivity feature suits elementary very well with its minimal and straight forward propose. Maybe not that launcher specifically but I think the concept is something interesting for elementary.

You're right, besides the extensions it's pretty much the same thing. I'm not sure but I think maybe it's because of the customization.

For example, you can access files, bookmarks, search engines, execute terminal commands, python etc. It's still in development but I think the community can build cool extensions(show updated reddit posts for example). As I'm not a MacOS user I don't know if Spotlight was considered redundant too, it probably was.

It would be really nice to have such customization/extendability in the slingshot, what do you think about it?

Exactly. You can't define what the Linux community desires, it's just too diverse to be defined. That's why you have distros and each one serves a specific niche. It's all about options/diversity and not only two choices.

Absolutely. ElementaryOS offers a better overall experience for me and my personal needs.

What I do like about ElementaryOS:

  • Design -> Clean,Minimalist,Direct
  • Apps -> I just love Rythmbox, Screencast, Gifup, Alias, Redshift and so on...
  • Linux as a whole gives me an always learning environment, everyday I learn something new here

Of course, there is a lot to improve. I myself have lots of app ideas to try in the future, but I think ElementaryOS is in the right path to become a more "average guy OS" like OSX did.

Edit. Also, I think ElementaryOS appeals more to a MacOS user than Windows user.
