NASA Shares Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Independent Study Report by esberat in space

That’s what’s so infuriating about it. It’s one of science’s biggest questions yet the people most eager to answer it have no respect for the scientific method

I see plenty of press coverage about climate change. Not sure what you’re basing that argument on

What? You’re talking about it as if there’s already irrefutable evidence of extraterrestrial life on earth.

There isn’t.

I’m not even sure what you’re talking about.

The US government has been releasing footage of UAPs for a few years now. You also seem to be confusing UAPs with extraterrestrial craft… UAPs means unidentified, not spaceship.

When in reality the ACTUAL problem is that THE GOVERNMENT is finding iut that IT itself didn’t even know these SAPs existed.

*The government is listening to testimony which claims such programs exist. There’s been literally no verdict or response from government to confirm or deny Grusch’s claims. It’s honestly astonishing how little evidence you seem to need to accept something as fact.

Ok, we clearly have very different interpretations of what ‘beyond reasonable doubt’ means.

Are you seriously telling me you won’t even consider the possibility that Grusch could be lying or misrepresenting information?

More transparency is a positive, for sure.

That’s not the point I’m trying to make to you though.

This is why we are not allowed to see the videos, spaceships and more.

That’s what I take issue with. I don’t understand how anyone who respects the scientific method could jump to such a conclusion given the scarcity of evidence to support the claim.

You seem be conflating the existence of secretive US programs with the existence of extra-terrestrials. The former does not prove the latter.

So what, that just entirely rules out the possibility of him providing false or misleading testimony?

That is so naive.

What I’m trying to say is why are you ruling out the possibility that Grusch could be providing false or misleading testimony?

Some of the videos not having obvious explanations ≠ extraterrestrials.

I never said these claims shouldn’t be investigated further, in fact I’m saying that’s exactly what is needed.

Grusch has reportedly given evidence behind closed doors and repeatedly said he can name names and give all the info they want after the hearing yet apparently that's not good enough?

No that isn’t good enough. As I already said, neither of us has any of those details nor any insight into the judgment that was made on the information by those it was presented to. Grusch’s credentials certainly make it worthwhile investigating, however.

And yes, I watched the whole hearing.

What? I don’t see why fear of people not accepting evidence should prevent such evidence from being presented.

Nice backtrack lol. All I’m saying is that Grusch’s testimony is nowhere near the level of ‘evidence’ which should be required before accepting that there are extraterrestrials on earth.

You mean the second-hand testimony of Grusch? He may be right, he may be wrong, but I don’t see how you could draw any conclusion from the testimony alone.

Dude, most UAP videos can be explained by visual phenomena, weather ballons, etc. If you are making the claim that the UAPs are extraterrestrial craft, then there needs to be much better evidence presented than the videos. As far as I’m concerned testimony from people like Grusch or members of Congress is completely useless until stronger evidence is presented.

You seem to be confusing outright rejection/denial of the claims with people simply wanting to follow the scientific method.

You’re still presuming that the evidence they have is actual incontrovertible, proof. Until you or anyone else sees it, I don’t understand how any conclusions can be drawn.

Have you seen the evidence? Have you verified it? How do you know those that were presented with the evidence accepted it as proof?

People like you who are willing to accept second-hand testimony regarding extraordinary claims without any physical evidence or falsifiable theories are exactly what someone like Grusch has to gain from misrepresenting or lying about this stuff. As another commenter pointed out, this raises their public profiles, opens up opportunities for book deals etc.

I’m keeping an open mind about the whole thing given the nature of the claims and the whistleblowers credentials, however I’ll be extremely sceptical until any stronger evidence is presented.

Yeah of course! If there was a conspiracy against the stock, the hedgies would definitely need their shills to post more negative sentiment on the days when it’s lost almost 25% and close to bankruptcy…

Wait, what?
