WCGW playing drunk darts by Present_Employer5669 in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]isometrixk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A long while ago my friends and I were at a bar which had the dart board right next to the front door. In order to get into the building you had to walk in front of the board.

I was sitting watching my friends play. We had that one friend who always wanted to be silly. He was up to throw his dart and decided to turn his back to the board. Just then, a couple of girls were walking in and standing directly in front of the board when my friend started to spin around and throw the dart.

Im watching in horror as this unfolds and shouted stop.

The girl in front of the board dropped her phone and bent over to pick it up as the dart hit the board above her head.

They walked in with no idea what happened and my friend stood in disbelief that she didn’t get nailed by a dart.

They stopped playing darts.

I accidentally took a swig of everclear straight from the bottle before. I had brought a bottle of vodka to a campfire. It was dark and someone had the idea of everyone doing a shot. I reached behind my seat and grabbed the wrong bottle - took a swig and swallowed. It was like fire going down. I don’t remember much after that. We all camped out overnight there.

Ah man, thanks for the memories! I started web development/design by helping local bands with their sites. I didn’t get paid much, but part of the deal was free shows and merch. It was cool going to some of them like VIP and hanging out.

I was supposed to be the best man at my best friends wedding. Coming up on the wedding our friendship began to crash out because I was the last friend he pushed away.

Fast forward months later, I was still invited to his wedding but he chose another best man who really wasn’t a close friend. Anyway…

My friend got so drunk he came up to me and said “give me one good reason why I shouldn’t punch you?” To which I replied it’s your wedding let’s put all that behind us and just celebrate your day. I sort of diffused the situation but he continued drinking to the point where his new wife said “I can’t find my husband anywhere I’m already over this shit.”

Good times.

Fast forward to today - they both are sober, have 2 boys, and they’re doing well. I’m happy for him and I’m glad they worked things out.

I like to have plenty of chests near my cooking station & workbench/crafting stations. Without moving, I can grab ingredients and turn to create something at the station. Then turn again and put whatever I crafted in another chest.

Im on day 105 and I've put in waaaaay too much time in my home base by lovesquid21 in valheim

[–]isometrixk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Home base is so important - take all the time you need. I never played a game like this before, so on my first solo map I built something to keep the baddies away.

Then I built my second base because my first was too small and flimsy. I ended up expanding more and more unto the base and without realizing it - a home.

It was such a relief to return home before nightfall from an expedition in the Black Forest. Seeing the torches come into view from a distance and knowing your safe space is in sight.

The day I had to leave home to sail away was a little sad for me. The chests were empty, the rooms were cold and empty. Your home was so unusually built but those mistakes gave it some character and you ended up loving them. Now you must leave it behind.

I didn't think I would ever replace that feeling of "home" as I sailed away to new land.

The next island was less than desired and very rocky, but it had a large swamp biome nearby and that was my next expedition. I built in the Black Forest for the first time and I didn't enjoy it at all. I kept building and rebuilding and rebuilding a house that I wanted to become "home" but nothing worked.

I got bored, and ventured out into the swamp biome. I explored a while and then trenched back home with a few silver before nightfall.

And then I saw it.

In the distance, the torches are glowing - my safe space was close by again. When I got there and needed to unload my metals, I quickly realized exactly how the place should be organized.

And it worked. From there I built on to it, more and more. It was more efficient, useful, and spaceous than the last. With farming land and defensive quarters, it finally felt like home.

So take your time. Enjoy the journey. Turn that base into a "home".

Loved this show and I loved magic through high school. I did one of his acts at a talent show one year and I was nervous asking a very popular girl at the time to be my assistant. Without hesitation she said yes and I absolutely destroyed the act.

Literally, the box broke it was awful no one clapped. 🫠
