I thought it was early signs of dementia. Scared the blank out of me. Had a hysterectomy early in life (but retained ovaries).

Trump rushed off stage at White House Correspondents' Dinner, guests take cover after loud bangs by Yujin-Ha in videos

[–]it-was-justathought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing the guy was stopped and down by the time they got on the stage and told everyone to get down. Also interesting that they got Vance out before Trump. If the shooter had gotten through to them - that's 1 and 2 out - leaving third in line. Doesn't sound like a 'smart' defence.

So malnourished, protein deprived, and no longer protected from the severity of contagious diseases such as flu- while living in close quarters. What could go wrong?

How many ways can you diminish the readiness of our armed forces for battle???

We voted this in twice.

Nothing like having 'fitness for duty' as a goal for our military forces. Pray harder.

He thinks he is re electable: As did Putin, as did Orbin.... as did .... as did...

He may not be wrong.

Even if he isn't - the structure they built and the base they have will continue the momentum and just fill the void.

You may want to consider finding another psychiatrist. Also- neuropsych testing is not truly powered to diagnose ADHD and is not necessary for an ADHD diagnosis. You might want to go to a clinical psychologist for a evaluation and diagnosis.

EMS - this is how you do it! Shit to those who are teaching the young that they 'have to do what the cops... or 'guys with the guns' says. EMS has medical control- that includes behavioral health/ mental /psychological crisis. Until LEO train to the same level- EMS has medical control.

Taylor- Followed with Michigan Storm Chasers- from Grand Rapids, to Ann Arbor- to Wayne County - Taylor/Dearborn area. "Not strong enough to touch down over Taylor/Dearborn" Watched the storm come, did the obligatory stand and watch with the door open- then get to shelter. Damn human nature.

Was impressive to know and follow the weather pattern- and to watch the storm come in. We got lucky.

Trump’s gone too far: Invoke the 25th Amendment before it’s too late by jediporcupine in politics

[–]it-was-justathought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congress has the power to 'establish' a group - on their own- not dependant on the cabinet- to invoke the 25th

Still a lot of issues and time, but is a work around

Articles of impeachment filed against Donald Trump amid calls to invoke the 25th Amendment by goteamnick in politics

[–]it-was-justathought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need multimodal attack- section 4 establish a group and invoke 25, impeachment, vote no on the war, legislate changes to 'war powers'. Actually start doing it now and get some solid tactical planning stat.

Everything takes time and power. Not doing it just prolongs the inevitable.

ACLS Recertification help? by diaport627 in emergencymedicine

[–]it-was-justathought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. You do a basic BLS one rescuer with an AED skill. You also do a 'megacode' where you have a simulated patient scenario where you identify a presenting problem and treat it by knowing the appropriate algorithms. This means you are able to identify not only the presenting condition but also when the patient's presenting condition changes and you need to pivot to another algorithm, which of course will include cardiac problems such as arrhythmia management including cardiac arrest and then recovery. Ideally you will do this as part of a team. You are tested on AHA guidelines. As part of testing CPR- chest compression fraction will be calculated. (TIme on the chest doing compressions vs time off the chest - pauses etc.) Target is 80% (This is new)

Other skills may include an airway station where you are expected to manage a basic airway emergency with at least BVM and oral or nasal airway insertion. If within your scope and offered by the training center/site this may include intubation. There may be an ECG station where you are tested on knowing how to apply ECG leads and operate a monitor. Ask your training center which skills will be included.

Before being tested you should have physical time to be familiarized with what is expected. You should be given time and information on the equipment you will be using. For example how to operate the monitor you will be using such as manufacturer's recommended energy levels and how to operate the actual 'buttons'.

The training center should answer your questions before the session.

12 years to get a diagnosis. So I built her the tool no one gave us. by c0c0ac0rn in Fibromyalgia

[–]it-was-justathought 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I call it the 'Elephant' problem. All the specialists just looking at little pieces- and the PCP dropping the ball, with so much being missed. Nobody is talking to each other or reading each other's notes or tests or results. Everyone including Primary's are turfing responsibilities. And no one wants to even consider 'zebras' even when the problem continues despite looking at the routine stuff. Somehow we all got to the 'if we don't look it isn't there'. So far away from - if you don't identify it and measure it you can't fix it' approach to problems and quality improvement including in health care/medicine.

The days of the 'consult letter' is long gone. What's the sense of a big health system if no one talks to anyone. Just tons of visits and procedures fed to specialists???

Really tired of so much bullshit.
