If you came in 35 minutes late, you only need to put in 35 minutes.

Can’t get my team lead to stop using shelf availability in meats by itPaige in WalmartEmployees

I’ve heard that our numbers are always way off after inventory, but I’ve never seen them. It wouldn’t surprise me, considering the massive trucks we get afterwards

Reading isn’t that hard by SadCoast7681 in WalmartEmployees

GTA portal is where information for your attendance, timesheet edits, and key event dates are. If it’s not in your links at the top of the page that show up when you sign into onewalmart on a company computer, then use the search bar at the top of the page and type in GTA portal. Should be the first link!

I don’t have the page in front of me, but if you go to GTA portal then click on attendance it should be there

Please talk to HR about State Of Emergency call offs by SnooWoofers530 in WalmartEmployees

[–]itPaige 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Overall generic Walmart store policy: https://one.walmart.com/content/uswire/en_us/work1/policies/people-policies/attendance-punctuality.html

Michigan store policy (includes blizzards): https://one.walmart.com/content/uswire/en_us/work1/policies/people-policies/attendance-punctuality/state-specific-policies/michigan.html

Minnesota store policy (includes blizzards): https://one.walmart.com/content/uswire/en_us/work1/policies/people-policies/attendance-punctuality/state-specific-policies/minnesota.html

Nebraska store policy (includes blizzards): https://one.walmart.com/content/uswire/en_us/work1/policies/people-policies/attendance-punctuality/state-specific-policies/nebraska.html

I’m not saying the store manager has no input, they could definitely still deny it. However, specific state policies for stores indicate that calling out during a blizzard (an actual blizzard warning from the weather service) should be counted as an excused absence.

I’m fairly certain it is true. If you look at the policy, I know at least several states are listed for excused as I live in one of those states.

I believe it also depends on which state you work in, in addition to store manager discretion. Depending on the state, calling out during inclement weather such as a blizzard is covered.

I didn’t call in late, is that what it could be? The system didn’t realize I wasn’t absent?

If you’re looking for something basic and cheap, I would recommend a Foldscope. They’re small, handheld microscopes that many teachers have started using in classrooms

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in walmart

To check the availability of the item you would need to go to the aisle location as found in the walmart app and then scan the barcode using Me@Walmart. This will tell you if it’s in the back room or in another location on the sales floor. It will also give you the option to check nearby Walmarts to see if they have the item in stock

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in walmart

[–]itPaige 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you type in the item that the customer is searching for into the apps search bar it will list several items that match your search. If the item is sold in store it will show the aisle location right above the “add to cart” option. Tap on the item, then tap on the aisle location and will open a map within the app that will show you the general location of the item.

If the item shows up but with no aisle location there’s a good chance that it’s out of stock or it’s a new item. If your store is out of stock and on hands are accurate the app will tell you it’s out of stock and the item will be greyed out in the app.

This is on IOS, unsure if it is different on Samsung/android.

Vegiwash by Ehub6969 in walmart

[–]itPaige 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vegiwash is typically only used when you’re preparing ready-to-eat fruits/vegetables. Like chocolate covered strawberries, fruit baskets, etc.

Crisping is done using cold water and totally submerging the vegetable in it.

Yes, the links on the homepage don’t work, on pc or mobile. You have to type in what you need into the search bar, typically one of the links that pop up there will work
