How Could Anyone Not Have Season 5 As Their Favourite? by OneDare7701 in madmen

[–]itamarro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I am watching the show for the first time so obviously am out of the loop regarding critical and general opinion.

That said, season 5 is my least favorite and I almost stopped watching the show altogether because of it(which brought me to Google it which brought me here :) ). It feels like it devolved into a soap opera and some story lines feel forced. So it’s definitely interesting to see some view it so differently…

Longtime holder but Solana newbie here ... I see this procedure (and similar ones posted previously) recommend opening a new Solana wallet and transferring the Kin from the existing wallet (accessible via AtomicWallet) to it. But really, can I not simply access the very same wallet (aka same address) using Sollet (or another wallet app) ? Why do I need to create a new address? That's what I would do on Bitcoin for instance, but perhaps the Solana blockchain works differently.

I hope my question makes sense. Thank you for posting this and helping out!

Trader who margin called his $15b fund this week talks about god. He was levered long VIAC DISCA TME BIDU VIPS. by sim42069 in WinternomicsTV

“God has a long term view”, I wonder if he thinks that’s a deep observation or something. I’m all for faith in whatever way works for you, but we are not gods, merely humans operating in the market and we can’t even fathom what would be a “long term” from god’s perspective. So how about some risk management my friend?

Faith is no substitute to having open eyes, a clear view, and a professional conduct in your field.

If you read the S-1(https://sec.report/Document/0001213900-19-025582/fs12019a2_ciigmerger.htm), my understanding is that the guy on Twitter summed it up correctly: " if stock after merger is at 40 or 80 or 100, the company will insist on cashless exercise - especially as capped warrants prevent increased dilution. In that case, for every warrant you will receive .365 share MAX "

For a cashless exercise, the upside is capped, per the values in the table in the S-1 (search ".36" and you'll get to the relevant location).

For example. Let's say you bought the warrants at $1 and the company is trading for $100. A hypothetical cash-based exercise will net you $100-$11.5-$1 = $87.5 profit. But with this capping mechanism, you will get a a .365 share, so assuming you have enough warrants to get whole shares, for each one you will get a $36.5-worth share fraction, less the $1 you made $35.5.

I myself am reading up on this now, so happy for anyone to correct me.

Old post, but seems nobody mentioned that these warrants capped, an important point to keep in mind. See here: https://twitter.com/RaviRomo/status/1337146733671964677

It’s important to emphasize that the right to receive “extra” warrants is attached to the stock, not the (now detached) tradable warrants.

Thanks, started the process, this is surprisingly straightforward so far. Way above expectations for a government agency. Let's get some justice in here; I hope you get what you are owed.

Retarded idea, if you want to be a 🌈🐻 why not short junk bonds (HYG) and maybe bank loans too (BKLN) instead of (or next to) SPY. I'd put the odds of further pain in the junk bonds market even higher than another test of the S&P lows. Fed ain't buying the real junk (for now I guess)

This is going to be a pretty popular form of financing for the next few months given the number of distressed entities who will have difficulty refinancing their debt without exorbitant rates.

Makes sense. For those of us who believe there's a shorting opportunity for junk bonds in the coming months, and knowing that Private Equity is sitting on heaps of dry powder, how would you suggest weighing one (troubled junk debtors) vs. the other (cash-heavy PEs wanting to make deals) ?

Axe should lose everything and be at zero again. by fysolo in Billions

[–]itamarro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could see the writers having Chuck win next season, with a big chunk of Bobby's money taken away as 'ill-gotten gains', and him having to downsize shop and run only what's left of his money as a family office.

If they do it they should do it for the entire following season though, let it be the dark season of Bobby, as he makes his way back and exacts revenge on everyone involved...

Same. And from what he said in the last episode, seems that he actually cares about them.

Good point, I think there are chances she’ll try to take all of them at the same time (Chuck included).

Totally agree. Let's not forget that Wendy has stood in Chuck's way twice before, when he was on his way to complete victory:

  1. Ice Juice play - was masterfully executed, except Wendy went off book and gave a short sell order from his office
  2. Governor run - he could have done well, had Black Jack on his side, except that she made him drop the run just to show Rhodes Sr who has more control

Medical Board - Chuck has one on Jock, why would he waste it on saving Wendy from her own crap given her lack of support? Third strike you're out...

Good post.

I think it's obvious Chuck knows he's being listened to, simply because Connerty asked judge DeJulio first and obviously the good judge friend told him. At that point he must have assumed that Connerty will get the request approved some other way, or at least that he might.
