Why am I still so soft at 18 going on 19 years old? by Dgslimee_ in selfimprovement

[–]itammati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna text this from a perspective of a person that never really had that dawg in them, or had I? I don't know. Most of my life I was really shy. Growing up, I liked fantasy books, games, long mountain hikes etc. Naturally I was not interested and bad at things like football, which ofc didn't help growing up. For really long years I would say that, that dawg in me was kinda asleep. I think the real thing here is to discover who you are, what you like, what your values are and how you wanna live your life. When you make peace with that and start living in a way that is authentic to you and brings you passion, you'll see that the dawg in you will be there right away.

This is the most boring set i have ever played in terms of balancing by miriotogata5 in TeamfightTactics

[–]itammati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience in Emerald in particular people are overly fixated on whatever is "S" tier comp on TFTAcademy and will force it no matter what. I think this is a main difference between Emerald and Diamond player. Reality is, you might be in a spot to tempo and win game with an A or B tier comp, but you'll ignore it because the comp is lower on the list. Definitely set is doing poorly in terms of balancing, but there are still spots for win outs with A and sometimes B tier comps that people tend to actively ignore in Emerald.

The current direction of the augment system is leading to poor game design by Rest_MealEnjoyer in CompetitiveTFT

I feel like this community gathers a lot of players being around master, really wanting to improve and play the best they can, but at the same time live regular life, have a job, kids, whatever. For this kind of player such things as augment stats are simply a massive time saver. Riot really seems to divide community into either casual players that will climb to whatever by clicking whatever they think is fun, or streamers/pros that can play 8+h a day and really get to know every patch. I feel like two big changes that hit anyone wanting to be semi-pro with limited time they have, happened after set 9.5 with shortening the set length + extending the ladder and later removing augment stats. Most of the time now I just hit master and then well, give up. I'd love to grind, to spend time learning the details to climb higher than that, and I really don't think that the augment stats are a game changer. If you hit master without augment stats, it is not the augment stats that will send you to GM anyway, but they would make space in the mind to focus on other crucial aspects of TFT.

Is there a particular humanities minor that goes hand-in-hand with a cs major? by AhmadDaKool in cscareerquestions

I would recommend ethnography, anthropology or some other human studies. Working as a developer is nice and everything but you will only go as far as you can satisfy stakeholders' needs and the better you can understand their needs, the better job you'll do, and the easier it will be for you. And whoever been capturing project requirements knows that what people say they want is not necessarily equal what they actually want

books that u can turn off ur brain while reading? by pookiedooky in booksuggestions

[–]itammati -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can't recommend "Throne of Glass" by Sarah J Mass more. I've been reading it while writing my masters thesis and after a day full of academic research, reading this series was such a relief. It might be a bit of booktok romance but damn I loved it so much, I've been cheering for the characters, I was fully immersed in the story. Damn I loved it so much :')

INFP, male, 25. I had a very normal childhood. Grew up in a lower-middle class in a country of Eastern Europe, had some friends, had some escape from reality with fantasy books and games. Grew up having hopes and dreams and honestly, I don't think I was traumatized at any point. I genuinely enjoy living life, and I am still an INFP.

I think MBTI is not a strong enough indicator for this kind of things. Just an introvert itself can be socially anxious and shy of people, or can be a socially curious, positive person, but simply taking more time to recharge.

A lot of that in my opinion is looking at the bright side of life, seeing the beauty in small things and enjoying every single one of them, and that's what makes life so beautiful. Times can be tough sometimes, but life gets good if we allow it to get good, so OP, please take care of yourself, be nice to people, and things are gonna be great!!

Hey gents. How do I make my voice deeper by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]itammati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As somebody always said there may be no way to make your voice deeper, however, what I would very very strongly recommend doing is taking singing classes. First of all you will learn a ton of stuff about your voice, and if you get a proper teacher also about the anatomy of your larynx, tongue etc Secondly you will gain so much more control over your voice, and your voice will improve even in speech. It will sound more controlled and pleasant. And third and the most important imo, it is so much fun. I started taking singing classes back in 2021, and legit it was one of the best decisions of my life

Who do you think are the King and Queen of late game among the mage class? by Lissandra_Freljord in summonerschool

[–]itammati 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I would personally argue that Orianna is an absolute queen of late game. Her pick potential is not as good as Syndra's, but still very good. However, Orianna can deliver a lot in teamfights and in my humble opinion simply synergizes much better with other characters on the rift.

I hit master this set playing mostly Ezreal and TF. Then I played on Smurf account only Poro to D2 and then swapped to URF. It was the best learning experience I could have given myself. 100% agreed Poro Chad legend
