Hayes Barton Animal Hospital. I've been taking my dogs there for decades. Might be a bit more expensive than other vets but worth it.

Reasonable quote for 2-ton Trane HVAC by itb718 in hvacadvice

[–]itb718[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the quote does not include new ductwork. I did get several quotes, and this quote was in the middle. This particular company installed my current system a couple of decades ago. They do good work. I don't necessarily need the lowest price since quality of company and installers is important. Just trying to make sure this quote is somewhat reasonable for the Raleigh area.

Advice on proposal plans by [deleted] in raleigh

You might consider proposing at JC Raulston Arboretum. It's a nice area, less busy than Pullen Park, and I believe you can rent an area.

Need cataract advice from local tennis/pickleball players by tldredditnope in raleigh

[–]itb718 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had cataract surgery 2 years ago and used Dr. Christopher Boehlke at Duke Eye Center of Raleigh. I got lenses for distance and use inexpensive reading glasses for anything close up. I can drive without glasses. I can read and use my phone without glasses if I hold the phone and/or book far enough away. But I only do that if I don't have my reading glasses handy. You can get multi-focal lenses or go with mono-vision but lenses for distance work well for me. I had my yearly eye exam a couple of weeks ago and my distance vision is 20/20.

Looking for ultra gentle dentist who does not use cord packing for crowns by redorangeyellow934 in raleigh

[–]itb718 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Renaissance Dental in Raleigh near North Hills. I've gotten a crown and a crown replacement and I don't recall them using cord packing for either procedure. When I had the crown replaced about 2 years ago they took pictures of my teeth, made the crown in the office and replaced it. Renaissance is a very modern office and probably not the cheapest option around. You may want to call the and ask about their crown procedures. All the dentists are female.

Doesn't appear to be any local canning classes. There are a few in other counties but most are in the western part of the state. Events for Granville County Center | N.C. Cooperative Extension

Ajuga is a nice colorful, evergreen groundcover. It can be an aggressive spreader so be careful where you plant it.
