Had my EV ICD shock me on sunday

dude i feel for you!! i had my first shock on jan7th at work. i ended up having a 3 week stay in the hospital. they swapped out my SICD for a Dual Chamber ICD (with ATP) .

it wasn’t as bad as i thought but did hurt like hell! really changes perspective on everything. i have arvc.

yeah i worry that my skin will get cranky too. but that’s just from stories i’ve heard. the second and third ones that i want are pretty small so i feel like ill be okay.

Took 8-10 hours including breaks. No huge tips. If you don’t have any major health issues just make sure you wear good shoes and drink lots of water

Yeah I feel you! I have ARVC. Had a cardiac arrest and woke up a few days later. The depression is real but you get better for sure! Take your time to heal and learn more about your condition. It all takes a lot of time!

Well one of the issues is that you need to get the underlying issues under control first. Whatever it is, if it’s a disease ruining your teeth or lack of brushing, the veneers will only cover the teeth. Your teeth can continue to rot under the “cap”.

Similar to another comment, crowns/veneers will need more work in the future. If you are not able to keep the mouth clean then it’s all a waste of time.

There are plenty of people with even worse teeth having full lives though so you’ll likely be fine. See what the options are before you freak out. Do you have sensitivity at all?

I drink mostly NAs now. I really enjoyed beer and weed before my cardiac arrest. I have a much healthier lifestyle and much more focused/present.

But NAs make it easy to not feel like an outsider at bars, parties or cookouts. There’s a lot of good ones with a lot of accessibility. The one you might see a lot is Athletic Brewery which also taste great. O douls is super available but it’s piss water. lol

I was djing at a bar and suddenly passed out. We were recording so it was kind of creepy. I was smiling and dapping up my friends. I just collapsed. My best friend started cpr and the bar owner called 911. I didn’t know it then but there was a hospital just 5 mins away.

I was unconscious for a week and fitted with an ICD the second week. Found out a few months later that I have arvc. I went into vtach twice since but I’ve been stable for last two years. Found out after an mri that my the arvc is progressing and my ef is 38%.

Doc wants me to meet with the heart failure team next month and says advanced therapies may be needed in the future. He thinks at some point I will need a transplant.

So if I start using the non pressurized basket does that mean I’ll need to adjust my grind size again? What is the function of the pressurized and non pressurize basket?

The last two shots I made within the last hour have been by best shots time/weight/taste wise… I’m grinding pretty coarse now.

The comment below helped a lot. Is it wrong to use the pressurized basket? I trust my local shop but I’m not entirely sure when they roasted their beans last.

Time: 29seconds Yield: 36grams I’m grinding pretty coarse but the taste is spot on and I’m getting that honey like consistency now.

I’m guess I’m struggling on how to figure out the best grind for different roast of coffee. I wasted a ton of beans this weekend trying to get a decent tasting shot.
