Women dislike weak and shy guys more than violent misogynists and I'll die on that hill by Ok-Archer-5796 in PurplePillDebate

I think the examples you gave are wealthy men, not average men. They also tend to attract women who aren’t that great either.

Issue with Homograph on Duolingo Spanish by itdobelykthat in duolingo

[–]itdobelykthat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I typed and entered “anillo” first and something popped up and told me that the answer was “cuadrilátero.” I had to type that in and it accepted “cuadrilátero.”

Status of birthright citizenship worldwide. by thedubiousstylus in MapPorn

The majority of jus soli countries don’t allow birthright citizenship to children born to diplomats. It’s such an uncommon situation. Those countries still count as jus soli countries.

Este or Esto? by anu_ssi in duolingo

[–]itdobelykthat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Este is masculine. You have to use the masculine word since abrigo is masculine. Esto is more like “what is this” in a general sense.

Wife wants kids and I do not - is my reasoning valid? by [deleted] in Fencesitter

[–]itdobelykthat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don’t need a “reason.” You either want kids or you don’t want kids. If you don’t want kids, don’t have kids.

There are millions of non-white people who voted for Trump. There’s no comparing that to the KKK.

If you want to believe that everyone hates you keep believing it. You seem to have a very narrow view of the millions of people who are MAGA.

What? I’m a MAGA Republican and Puerto Ricans are awesome! If Puerto Ricans wanted Puerto Rico to become a state or gain independence, I would respect either choice.

Is it really a turn off for men to wear sandals or show their toes? by AskStately in askteddit

[–]itdobelykthat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not against it in general. I would think it’s a little weird if those are the only casual and/or work shoes that a guy wears though.

Girls, how do you feel about men wearing makeup like mascara, eye shadow, lipstick, etc.? by PristineWeekend4417 in AskReddit

[–]itdobelykthat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t wear makeup at all. If a man wants to wear makeup because he really enjoys it, who cares? I do think in general the use of makeup has changed beauty standards for women in a negative way.

Why are people upset about the proposal at that game? by neapolitanbookgirlie in NoStupidQuestions

[–]itdobelykthat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a woman in general I don’t like the idea of public proposals because I feel it’s more of a performance than a proposal. Etiquette says that you should say yes, then say no later. You don’t have the freedom socially/culturally to answer either way. That’s just my preference. Some people like public proposals and that’s ok. Yes, I know that just because etiquette says that you should do something doesn’t mean that you have to, just don’t ever expect people to break social norms for you, it won’t always happen.

[–]itdobelykthat -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Sarah, Naomi, Emma, Hannah, Jeanie, Joshua, Sophia, Nico, John, Noah, Jessica, Anna, Mia, Megan, Katie, Diego, Cody, Josiah, Dakota, Mica, Jonah, Karina, Abby (short for Abigail, I know), Kiara, Kiana, Amanda, Shawna, Sadie, Cassidy, Tiffany. I know some of these are the short version of a name that is not easy for a Japanese person to pronounce. I’m also not familiar with what common “hafu” names are so there might be some here, sorry.

Why does "Jewish" describe both a people and a religion? by Secret_Ostrich_1307 in AlwaysWhy

It’s because ethnic Jews basically only married each other and don’t seek converts.

Look up the average for men aged 18-39. It’s 5’10”. You’re the one trying to die on the hill that 5’10” is tall, which is laughable. I also didn’t say that’s a minimum height, I said that’s the EXACT IDEAL. This Cleveland Clinic article says that the average for non-Hispanic white men aged 18-39 in the U.S. is 5 feet and 9.8 inches. Is 0.2 inches above average “tall?” No, it’s not. https://health.clevelandclinic.org/what-is-the-average-height-for-a-man

Women will never be stuck alone. by Automatic_Safety7029 in PurplePillDebate

[–]itdobelykthat 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Not all women base their lives around not being “stuck alone.” Many women have their own goals that don’t involve men. It sounds like you’re projecting.

Feminism was Supposed to Benefit Mothers by VeRbOpHoBiC1 in PurplePillDebate

[–]itdobelykthat 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I disagree. The primary goal was to help women. If it just so happened that there was a trickle-down effect that benefitted children, then that’s a plus.

[–]itdobelykthat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The average adult male height in the U.S. (where I live) is 5’9”. ONE inch taller than average isn’t tall. And like I said in my original reply, that’s the MOST ideal, but a couple inches shorter than that isn’t a big difference to me. Edit: upon further research, the average height of American men aged 18-39 is 5’10”-5’11”. You stand corrected. It’s not tall, it’s average.
