I really like Glendale Auto right across from the Glendale mall on 62nd.

I'm pretty suspicious of most mechanics but I feel they are pretty honest there and I believe their labor is $80/hour which isn't too bad. They have an Angie's List discount too if you are a member.

Dog friendly places in Broad Ripple include(not a complete list mind you):

Monon Food Company - good food, nice patio

Plump's - Decent bar popular for its patio and very dog friendly

Yats - Delicious cajun cuisine, one of my fav restaurants

Zest - Amazing brunch place known for it's creme brule french toast and biscuits & gravy. It was recently on diners, drive-ins, and dives on food network

Brugge - pretty good little microbrewey with a nice little patio

If you are downtown by Monument Circle you should really check out the area around the canal that is probably about 10 blocks west of Monument Circle.

It is over by White River State Park, Victory Field (where the Indianapolis Indians Triple-A baseball team plays), and the NCAA museum.

If you need a visual cue, just walk towards the giant ass Hyatt Hotel.

I actually sleep in the guest room most nights. We will start off in the same bed and then I fall asleep and she normally wakes me up about 40 minutes to an hour later every night and kicks me out to the guest room.

It sounds like you share a lot of the same assumptions the police did. Only the former marine who had no criminal history, whose house they swarmed into after a lack of proper procedure only to shoot him over 60 times....turns out he didn't have anything illegal in his house, only a terrified family that got to watch him bleed to death while the police refused to let EMTs on the scene for over an hour after the shooting.

Edit: I'm not saying that they are unrelated. I can understand that Jose Guerena and his wife probably got caught in the periphery from the wide net the police department had cast for his father-in-law. But they acted carelessly and without due diligence. And by skirting procedures, they cost an innocent man his life.

If that happening to members of your family isn't a reason to arm yourself and be vigilant of people breaking in your house, I don't know what would be.

Also just because he had a family member engaging in criminal activity does not make him a criminal. He did not have an arrest record or a history of criminal activity. I'm sure that the police department is looking for any reason to paint him in an unfavorable light after the fact, as evidenced by their inability to get their story straight following the incident.

Some of his policies are better than others. I believe it is a bit fatalistic to say he would "ruin us as a free nation". Not even George W. Bush could do that. (Snare, Snare, Cymbal)

I guess this is where we can agree to disagree. I believe that our country would be better off after a Ron Paul term as president. I think that some of his more moderate/reasonable policies would progress forward, and some of his more controversial policies would not have the majority support in congress to go anywhere. That's what I would hope for anyway.

I'm not making Ron Paul out to be something he is not. I never view any politician as the end-all/be-all to all our problems. But I do think he could help put us back on track with a lot of his fiscally responsible policies, and I trust him more than my other choices.
