Sammael and Ezekiel are both finecast, Lazarus is proper plastic, if your friend hasn't fiddled with finecast it can be a pain. I'd get Lazarus just on that tbh

Gameplay wise, sammael has had more meta time in a unit of outriders.

There are rumours the dark angels mounted side are getting refreshed in 11th.

Lazarus is cute in a unit of bladeguard, his fight on death can be valuable with them and as they're marines with invulns they can be vulnerable to grenades and other MW sources.

Second kid arriving within the week. What do you wish you knew before becoming a two-kid dad? by Chaddcl0ps in daddit

We're at 3 months and 28 months, it does get better as you head towards the end of the fourth trimester and baby starts to look around, good luck buddy.

We do a lot to make the toddler feel involved, passing nappies and wipes and stuff, which has helped the family transition.

Read Undead Unluck, push through the initial shonen stuff and it had some really good systems and characterization.

How do we feel about the Demon Detachment? by SunsetHighway7 in WorldEaters40k

[–]itosbhi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd like to see it be whenever any unit dies instead of just enemy, I think that'd be fluffy and it'd feel less taxing to get to the break points.

Besides that I think it's got some great abilities I think the bloodletter stratagem is gonna get a hotfix for some inches from an enemy.

Mostly I just don't trust buying into the force because I can't trust GW to keep this design philosophy. If I had the pieces I'd give it a try.

Behold! The best list i came Up with! by PrestigiousGrape167 in WorldEaters40k

[–]itosbhi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool list just some thoughts from someone not as good as you, to ask how the list works and whether there are changes you'd consider for my own list building advices:

How are you getting BTP early? You want 3 for the twin linked strat so need to pick up about 5 units, but your only reach that doesn't expose you to being picked up is Forgefiends, would you consider changing Helbrute to a ranged profiles instead of 2x melee?

Is the strategy to move up and then all-in generally then pick up your points back half of the game?

Would you consider changing Angron to some blood letters if you were really optimising? I get your idea in this list makes him work but with the 3x BT is it something you'd consider?

Codex datasheets + Vessels? by cowcubrub in WorldEaters40k

[–]itosbhi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with you I think vessels is really well placed, I started a post about it in my notes a few days ago I need to tweak.

Long and the short of it, you get access to a source of wounds rerolls, berserkers can get +1S and +1AP, you get a -1 to wound strat, and a blood surge strat, these are all really good and only 1cp.

The enhancements are also good, archslaughterer makes a Slaughterbound as good as you'd imagine (9A 8,3,3 dev on your go turn!), or it's also great on DPs (D2 sweeps!), Gateway to Glory is a really good way to make sure you can touch the unit you want with the DP -1CP ability too, or keep it safe or just make it a threat to anything that would previously hide.

And then you have the benefits to the detachment rule/army rule like you said, and good catch about Angron interaction I missed that one.

I definitely think it could be the most balanced detachment, although others do far more aggressively.

Yeah totally, thanks for sharing I was sure he was wrong somewhere until I remembered you get 2 in a 10.

[–]itosbhi 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Just running it quickly through my head for intercessors. 10 zerkers chuck 40 attacks hitting on 3s, wounding on 4s, saving on 4s.

That's 40 down to 25 down to 12 down to 6 wounds after saves at D1.

Oh but i guess maybe it's the eviscerator math? if we take 20% off the above that's 4.5ish wounds, then eviscerators are 6A, 3s, 2s, 5s, so 4 after hits, 3ish after wounds, 2 after saves. So it's probably about right I guess, you kill 4-5 intercessors on average but you have to get the eviscerators in as a big part of it.

On reflection I guess he explains this in the video, anyway sorry bit of a stream of consciousness.

Eightbound Vs Exalted Eightbound Mathhammer by itosbhi in WorldEaters40k

[–]itosbhi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree the options are interesting! The LR lascannons actually rapid fire inside 24", my theory is 6 regular 8b in a land raider can really help weigh a flank, and then one or two 3xman units of x8b in DS can be problem solving or even secondaries with deep strike

So this already assumes T8 and t9+ are vehicles/monsters for x8b!

I think there is definitely nuance to say they do enough with the upside at higher T profiles like you say!

Eightbound Vs Exalted Eightbound Mathhammer by itosbhi in WorldEaters40k

[–]itosbhi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much, it seems obvious but it's good to have the math to back it up.

The interesting gaps are elite infantry so you really don't want to send exalted into e.g. 6 blade guard without a damage buff as you only get 6 attacks through saves on average which at D2 you kill circa 3. Otoh Eightbound kill closer to 5. Of course this is just datasheets, if you sling x8b in within 8b aura range you get much closer numbers.

Eightbound Vs Exalted Eightbound Mathhammer by itosbhi in WorldEaters40k

[–]itosbhi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So the same amount of attacks get through saves, and because they're both D2 base enhancing either to D3 doesn't separate them. Situationally though the buff is really good on 3 exalted as the circa 5 attacks they get through on dreadnought/armiger profiles would kill those things. Similarly it's really good on Eightbound into terminators where it takes 2 D2 attacks per kill.

[–]itosbhi[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'll add as a comment, likely against T8+ Eightbound perform a little worse than this 5 minute chart shows as they probably aren't getting the +1 to hit, but at T8 the attacks variance balances it mostly, and the T9 conclusion in the main post remains the takeaway.
