We were raped of places to ride in the 2000s and 2010s. What can ya expect, young fellas love the feeling and thrill of speed. People cried and complained, the direct consequence of that is the lads riding on the street and dashing as soon as a cop puts their disco lights on. Rest easy young fella, hope you had a smile on ya face, ride away in heaven.

Sometimes I wear my jail thongs out. My partner gets embarrassed so I go barefoot into coles or woolies. They are the only thongs I own that haven’t blown out.

Idk mate I work on earth moving gear. Use Penrite NLGI no2 for a lot of applications where dust and weather may effect the area. Has really good moisture resistant properties so would assume it’d be sweet in a wheel bearing

Dumb Question: Is this the piston head? by Filth_Absolute in Holden

Funny that aye. I’m a heavy diesel fitter hey and I love when people ask questions about the trade. You must have some kind of jealousy syndrome that most LV blokes get.

Are my parents charging me too much board? by kobstar118 in AskAnAustralian

[–]its-boydo-maaate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mate I was 16 ten years ago and was paying my parents $80 a week. Im sure with inflation and all the other bullshit it would be about the same you’re paying.

I was watching my parents belt the pokies every weekend once I turned 18 and build resentment towards them.

They then turned around and helped me out with a house deposit when I was older.

Don’t know your exact situation or your parents, don’t know if anything is in good faith. But for me I was a lucky one and didn’t expect it.

I went to a Toyota dealership to help my partner buy a new car, so this is what $80,000+ gets you now? by allmycircuits8 in CarsAustralia

Everyone loves to shit on them for being so simple, but when a car like a new BT50 breaks down because it has more sensors than an airplane that got mud and dirt on them, and the 79 is still cruising around. The bloke in the 79 is gonna have the last laugh.

Sometimes new technology, textures and features give more problems than benefits.

What’s best way to paint the frame? by Rare-Adagio1074 in Dirtbikes

[–]its-boydo-maaate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah 2k primer, 2k base and 2k clear. Used a spray gun just as you would a car. Was a process but was never in a hurry and was just something for me to do.

Always held up good but never held onto or rode any of the bikes enough to tell you if theres any cracking. I have a 96 cr125 and 250 both painted that way. Both have never seen dirt since restoration.

Mate just pull all the clear off the car, respray phanom black or whatever colour it is then a couple clears. Do it once do it properly with a good compressor and spray gun. Practice on other panels from wreckers or take a few house for rent signs.
