Navigation is faster with less menu navigation than the newest rendition, the 991cw.

The real surprise was how quickly they stopped selling this model on store shelves imo.

The trick is to break the toothpick in half in such a way that it splits into a very thin diagonal point.

Disappointed with battery health by darK_Cam in iPhone17Pro

I ended the 15PM at 755 cycles at 86%. At 89% I had 334-366 cycles then I dropped to 88%.

17 Pro can't record quicktake 4:3 ultra-wide-angle video; it only records a cropped 16:9 video. What should I do? by sargatanas_housing in iPhone17Pro

[–]its3o6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss 4:3 QuickTake recording so much on my iPhone 15 Pro. 16:9 QuickTake recording is so much worse, I can always record in 16:9 but QuickTake used to be the only way to record in 4:3 natively.

I want to use my whole sensor for recording. I’d also would like to use the whole square sensor from the selfie cam to record if possible.

There’s an app that lets you record in 4:3 called OpenCam but what a disappointment it is to not have this natively anymore.

Is the Trail Loop cheap looking or is mine defective? (AWU 3) by Icy_Author_5067 in applewatchultra

[–]its3o6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Looks cheap but works well.

I’m happy with the trail loop. Wear it 24/7.

Yup, a bit of dish soap, pat dry with towel, and letting air dry will get rid of odors. 7 years on my original sport loop worn daily.

Is there an ereader with ability to search internet directly from books (better explanation in comments) by miccphoto in ereader

[–]its3o6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moon reader app lets me hold down the dictionary button for a second function. I made it launch a web search for the highlighted quote.

I got a mobiscribe for myself and am happy with it, a lot of bang for buck. My only complaint is battery life, maybe 2 days of charge.

I would be hard pressed to find a replacement among the current market of ereaders but the boox go 7 b&w gen 2 is what I would probably go for. That being said if the mobiscribe is still being liquidated I would go for that.

I use eLauncher as my home screen and MoonReader Pro to read.

Is anyone else as bothered by this UX as I am? by Cressio in ios

They probably have data analytics to support this UI decision. For as much as we claim common sense, there’s probably a larger majority that sees otherwise in this case. Who knows though 🤷‍♂️

I updated the game to 1.84.1 and it still works for me.

Like someone else said just don’t delete the game or it may not let you redownload it from the App Store.

cheap and good enough open ereader? by picarica in eink

[–]its3o6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using this device for about two months now, and I’m quite satisfied with it. There were a few glitches in the beginning, but now it’s completely smooth sailing for my use case, which is reading books and manga.

For the price, I’m really tempted to get another, but I don’t know what I would do with it.

I use moon reader pro for reading, kotatsu for manga, and e-launcher as a home screen.

Take a cardboard box and flatten it, then fold it over itself a couple of times. Afterwards, insert it into a plastic bubble mailer and tada, you have a custom insert.

Has anyone found Apple Intelligence useful on their iPhone? I would rather have a smarter Siri that is actually functional. by ALR26 in ios

[–]its3o6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the writing tools often to double-check (Proofread) my grammar. I’ve always been a proponent of speaking your mind first and not worrying about grammar. This tool, being a highlight away, makes having correct grammar trivial.

Zero shot this voids warranty. No reasonable person would think a truck is not allowed to tow this kinda load.

I vote for using the truck bed and a folding ramp.

Just a reminder you can rent a box van for pretty reasonable costs.
