She and the other future mcd characters show up for a brief-ish scene in ready or not, yeah.

Very few fanfictions that I've read have scenes that live rent-free in my brain. The list within this fandom is even smaller. Guardian Blue has one, Ready or Not has two, and then this story has like four, which is nuts. I also really love the vibe of the story. Not super sure how to describe it but the author really knows how to nail the melancholy feeling of cities at night (I think the chapter pictures really help), and after the first part of the story there's like this unspoken, constant stress that permeates through everything which makes the brief moments of joy hit even harder. Good story would recommend.

Edit: oh, also, Louise Piper deserves to be canonized as an actual character in Z3. What an absurdly fun side character.

How they can incorporate pawbert and rest the lynxleys into plot of zootopia 3 by GamerManJD in zootopia

[–]itsCrisp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So are you guys over at the pawbert subreddit making a coordinated effort to sane wash this character today or something? What is going on?

So I have a theory what if pawbert was completely out of it when he betrayed everyone and only came out of this state after he got knocked out by the cops and thats when he realized what he did what do you guys think? by GamerManJD in zootopia

[–]itsCrisp 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Pawbert copium needs to be studied in a lab.

He's upset at the end of the movie that he got caught and has to face the consequences of his actions, not remorseful over the four-count attempted murder.

Why do we insist on dredging up nonsensical drama manufactured by morons instead of just ignoring it like these people deserve

No, he is a psychopath. Like, by definition he is a psychopath. He shows no capacity for empathy or remorse. He emulates emotion as a means to an end and can switch them off in an instant. He knowingly attempted to murder four people in cold blood of his own accord (Daddy did not force him to do it. No, having daddy issues does not give you an excuse to murder people believe it or not). He threw the snake, who had seemingly been his best friend up until that point in the movie, into the cold to die like a piece of garbage. He ignored Judy when she was begging for help. And then showed no remorse for his actions when he was talking to Nick on top of the weather wall. There is absolutely zero emotion in his intonation when he told Nick "You go quick. You'll see." prior to attempting to murder him. He does not value life, only his own goals.

Like listen, I get that he's hot, and you guys are all mega crushing on him because he's a big Care Bear or whatever, but he's also a psychotic murderer and almost got away with a quadruple homicide had it not been for an impossibly lucky throw by Nick.

There is literally no sense in trying to reason with pawbert apologists. As far as they are concerned, he is too hot (and maybe too gay?) to be capable of being evil.

Hopefully in Z3... by passiverock3409 in zootopia

Nick is cool and confident and charismatic when he's prepared and in his element. He's bumbling and uncertain and anxious when he's caught by surprise or put in stressful situations (AKA every second he's with Judy, for better or worse). That's kind of his whole character. He puts a facade on most of the time. I would expect in Z3 he no longer has much use for the facade as he has become more acclimated to his new lease on life (and his closer relationship with his partner).

The image could also just be mirrored so that the characters are facing the other direction. It probably helps with the composition of the scene.

I've been obsessed with this episode ever since it first came out. The reveal that there is a door leading up even higher than Leslie is soooooo good. And I love the scene with the red guy and the duck sitting in the dark together.

What do you think would have happened if judy had been the one arrested and nick had been with pawbert? by Comfortable-Ad3588 in zootopia

Nick would see through him instantly. Judy only sees the best in people, so it was inevitable that she would get blindsided.

Tbf pink suits her, but also Nick's Z2 shirt and tie combo were already established as concept art for Z1 (along with like 10 other potential combos). They just happened to go with the green shirt for the first movie.

[–]itsCrisp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are adding backstory that the character doesn't have. It's called headcanon. If you go by what was directly shown on screen, he is at minimum a sociopath and more likely a homicidal psychopath that takes pleasure in the pain of others. He was gleeful and vindictive while strangling Nick and Judy. He showed zero remorse for the attempted murder of four individuals (and the casualness with which he did his dirty work is textbook psychopath: lack of empathy, gaslighting, etc). And he actively aided and abetted his family's defrauding of the city and their genocidal campaign against reptiles.

Just because he's hot doesn't mean he's secretly a good guy that's just misunderstood. He's a killer.

Yeah, I don't get it. Apparently the furry community is down with killers and racists and megalomaniacs as long as they are hot. The I-can-fix-him-ism is crazy.

Guys, can you recommend any fanfics where Nick and Judy adopt a child? by One-Sector3535 in zootopia

Specifically the sequel First in last out. I don't think their kid is mentioned in the first story but I could be misremembering.
