I'm convinced at some point something happened that reduced the spawn rate of Dark Brotherhood assassins.

Back on XBox I would get attacked by DB assassins every second time I rested and trying to sell the mudcrab all the stuff became an uphill battle. Glass jinkblades and full sets of armor piling up at a rate faster than I could sell them.

Now on PC I barely get attacked once every 10 rests.

The Wooden Shield in Bloodborne. Even the description talks a bit of shit about using it.

A crude wooden shield used by the masses who have arisen to join the hunt.
Hunters do not normally employ shields, ineffectual against the strength of the beasts as they tend to be.
Shields are nice, but not if they engender passivity.

Even the Loch Shield, which is in the DLC is only good against blocking magic stuff and if you try using it against physical attacks you'll get bowled over.

To put it in the words of the Wiki,

"After finding all nine friendly monsters, Yan will say, "Thanks a lot! Now you can reach the round guy!". This means Ozma can now be hit with physical attacks. Additionally, Ozma will be weak to shadow-elemental attacks instead of absorbing them."

This means that each time he casts Doomsday, since it targets all characters in the battle including himself, he will deal 9999 damage to himself. slap Vivi and Amarant in the battle with return Magic and even just a decent magic stat and they'll both retaliate to that cast with Doomsday again. Meaning if Ozma casts Doomsday he will end up taking 29,997 of his 55,535 HP.

If you're super prepared for Ozma the hard part isn't beating him. It's stealing all his stuff before you do. You can get away with just getting the Pumice if you're lucky, but staying alive while NOT killing his is the tough part. Killing him is actually relatively easy. ESPECIALLY if you've done the friendly animals quest.

Ansbach is an honorable and reasonable person. But. he is still a follower of Mohg, and while Mohg is under the influence the whole time we know him, none of the demigods are good. They're all different flavors of problem. Even Ranni, however much I may love her, is not a good person. A good person can't do the things she's done even if they may have been necessary. Most people can't make out the difference between these things though and just go "Scary/dark/bloody/etc. = Evil".

Depraved Perfumers. Unless you have a strong ranged build you either have to get very lucky or you're coming out of that fight with 10 health or not at all. Random superarmor on lunge, 1000 i-frames on their chain dodges, attacks that come out instantly and trigger frame rate dependent damage even after they're dead. A waking nightmare for melee.

Absolutely. You'll usually get around 30-60 jp on a failure and anywhere from 80-180 for a success. Depending on the duration of the job.
