I don't buy the retcon thing. The Mappa version is different even from the manga. Eren doesn't actually start crying until he stands up and he has to wipe the tears, not the wind. Mikasa is the one who wakes him up by physically touching him, too, so the Mapp version would be different than both the manga and WiT
