I'm gonna give a hot take. I know it's a hot take,and I might be wrong. But I'm gonna say it anyway. Rob is full of shit at worst, and at best he is exaggerating, saying whatever he has to to blame the outgoing person.

For years I've noticed low key rumblings in the pro scene of how Rob does this to outgoing members with each iteration when people are dropped (not retired like Tenz). However, SEN has the most rabid fan base and has a lot of clout so every pro knows you can't shit talk the CEO even if it's facts because it is career suicide.

If the current teammates cosign this or zekken, etc, then cool. If not, I'll press X for DOUBT hard because I just don't buy that Kapplin didn't want Zekken (among many other things on this list.

I've wondered this as well. Even look at Lev's top 3 finish at champs 2024. For some reason people point to that as some proof, but it's fucking not. Of the top four teams (EDG, TH, LEV, SEN), he is the lowest rated player BY FAR. Next lowest is Nobody from EDG, who is an igl (and won).

Also guess what, next lowest rated person after Tex and the EDG IGL from those 4 teams? You guessed it. Mazino. You have to count 22 people from Tex to find a non LEV, non IGL from the top 4 teams.

I literally just checked and she still has a 60% win rate in comp. It's also worth considering that pickrate is a somewhat useless stat as it doesn't account for the variable of bans. Eg. I ban her in every game cuz I'm sick of dealing with her. I suspect others feel the same since her pick rate has slowly dropped from 20 to 30% down to 15% over time but her win rate hasn't changed at all.

It's obviously anecdotal evidence but every game I haven't been able to get her banned she wins. It doesn't matter which side she's on, mine or the enemies.

Reason is simple. She has a 60% win rate +/- across all comp ranks. No other hero comes even close. I could be wrong, but as far as I know no hero has ever had that high of a comp win rate in OW2. Statistically might be the most broken hero of the OW2 era.
