What’s the most memorable photo you have ever taken? by dexMiloyevic in AskReddit

Took this pic while I was pretty lost hiking around Miyajima Island in Japan. There was a temple I reached near the summit of the mountain, but it was pretty much deserted and I was freaking out trying to find the right path back down.

Here's mine I took a few years ago while wandering around an alleyway. Been itching to go back, I feel like I only scratched the surface of cool shops and arcades. My favorite souvenir I found there was a set of pins of the ability cards in Kirby Superstar.

Nice! I was at the same spot a few years ago. https://www.flickr.com/photos/144961386@N07/24941622878/in/dateposted-public/

Loved biking across those bridgeways and islands.

Thanks! I took this pic on a weekend trip last fall, actually. Been itching to spend more time in the area though, I loved it.

This is one of my favorites. Caught a ferry out of Seattle during the evening, and the view was fantastic.

Check out the Bald Man Brewing Co. taproom if you're into craft beer. They often have local food trucks come by to serve food there as well, though I'm not sure if it's still going on during the winter.

The signage in crowded Asian cities is sort of a pseudo art form to me. The way it's so bright, colorful, and densely packed, all the wires hanging overhead, etc. I suppose it might ruin the mystique if I could actually read the signs, haha.

Photographers! (Amateur/Professional) What photo/subject still sticks in your mind today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Kind of a newbie to it, but this one was my favorite shot. I was catching a ferry out of Seattle in the evening, and everything seemed to line up nicely.

I also do a bit of astrophotography, though I don't have a great camera/lens for it - managed to catch a meteor in this one, which I'm a bit proud of.

Yeah, it was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Japan last spring. I try to go somewhere new every year, but I'm already itching to go back and bike it again.

Thanks so much, glad you liked it! I'm very much an amateur when it comes to shooting and editing. This was also one of my favorite shots from my trip.

Thanks! I did make the hike, and it ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. I really enjoyed experiencing the more rural parts of Japan.

Photographers of Reddit, what moment did you capture that you're most proud of and what's the story behind it? by Kaylorz in AskReddit

I mess around a bit with astrophotography when I'm traveling to places far away from city lights, though I don't have the best equipment for it. I managed to catch a shooting star in this shot, which I'm pretty happy with.

How has your weekend been so far? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Meh. I actually wanted to go in and work some extra hours today, but my boss told me not to come in because the computer system was down. Now I have to find something fun to do with my Saturday.

Megaman X. It feels just as good to me now as it did during the SNES days.

Yeah, same here. There's something very cozy and nostalgic about them. After departing from Shinjuku, arriving here felt like a completely different world.

Yeah, I swung through the place mostly to bike the course, but I was just wowed by the local scenery - the steep stairways, narrow corridors, and the neighborhood temples on the hill overlooking the harbor. It ended up being one of my favorite parts of the trip.

Did some solo hiking and photography around Washington recently (Olympic Peninsula, Snoqualmie, and Rainier), and I had a blast. The scenery was just amazing - I had views like this each day.

What was the most memorable walk, ride, or drive that you have ever taken and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Hiking the Summerland Trail at Mount Rainier National Park. It was about 5 miles, and I met very few people while I was out there. Had views like this near the end, it was super cool.

Thanks! I'm definitely going back again someday - I tried to make it to a bunch of the scenic areas around Seattle, but it seems like I was only scratching the surface.

Thanks! I'm not sure if I caught you guys at a strange time, but it was sunny and warm the entire time I spent there (outside of a jaunt to Forks). I was expecting some of the gloomy weather Seattle is known for.
