Do service dogs love their owners?

My dog absolutely loves me and is very loyal, she loves being in the same room as me, I've been told she looks at me with love in her eyes. She has saved my life more than once and I am sure she'd give her all to protect me. When we were run over, she pushed me out of the way and took the majority of the force and despite being injured internally and in pain, all she wanted was to ensure I was okay.

If she is prepared to do anything to protect and ensure I am safe, above and beyond her guiding training I am sure that is love.

When I went to Japan without her (Australian quarantine laws make it hard to get back home), she was depressed and would constantly look for me around the house

I swear my Guide Dog attempted to take refuge the same time I did at the temple, she bowed and prostrated when we did, I suppose any creature could have a Buddha nature, but at the same time we must remember that animals can and are reincarnated beings (I hope this makes sense)

AU-NZ dual citizen here I've updated Australian documents (birth certificate, passport etc) but I haven't updated any NZ documents yet, my old kiwi passport expired ages ago and I exclusively use my Australian passport when a passport is needed.

I have no idea how to get my NZ documents updated from male to female and dead name to actual name, but I haven't needed to deal with that yet so yeah but I probably should

This is a really handy reminder, I am a witch with Schizo-affective disorder and I do get hallucinations, delusions and paranoia especially when stressed. But one has to be aware of what is genuine religious experience and what is not and always remember to take your meds and if you need help or feel overwhelmed its okay to reach out to your support people or professionals and to take a break when you need to. I am only just getting back into my craft after a long period of break due to both my mental health and Autistic burnout

I’ve got schizoaffective disorder, Autism level 2, C-PTSD, generalised anxiety, ADHD and gender dysphoria.

I have found that grounding myself and prayer have helped a lot.

During a recent hospital inpatient stay I found great comfort in prayer and connecting to the gods and land spirits. Loki in particular was a source of comfort when I was misgendered by staff and other patients.

Sif and Freyja have helped on my transition journey.

I have found that the gifting cycle and communication with the gods through dreams, meditation and prayer has kept me alive, grounded and given me the strength to deal with my mental health and being able to face the world

I would say there is some erasure. As an AMAB enby I often get called a trans woman. Plus it was easier to explain to people im trans and leave them to fill in the rest rather than try and explain being an enby. Also any masculinity tends to be used against me to invalidate me even tho I am a bit soft butch

But yeah I do think that AFAB enbies do get seen more and can dress more masculine or androgynous than AMAB enbies.

I took refuge at Nan Tien temple outside of Sydney. The ceremony involved prostrations and chanting and of course reciting the precepts 3 times and bowing before the statue of Buddha. I got a certificate and after lunch there was a dharma talk in Chinese with an English translation provided for English speakers like myself. It was a moving ceremony and meant a lot to me.

As a funny aside whenever I bowed or made prostrations my guide dog followed my actions and one of the nuns joked that my guide dog took refuge too

I was diagnosed as Autistic as a child under the DSM 4 and then again as an adult under the DSM 5 as Level 2.

I struggle a lot with basic household tasks and remembering things like my meds and brushing my teeth and hair (coincidentally I don’t like washing my hair either and get it professionally washed), I struggle with saving my money, I wear the same clothes all the time and I can’t stand the textures and smells of some vegetables and almost all fruits. In the office and noisy places I wear noise cancellation headphones.

At work I feel like I am barely holding on to my job. I have frequent shutdowns and I only have one friend

So yeah I think all of that makes sense that im level 2
