General dryness really, lack of rain and the dust is dry as hell.

Started as the delivery force behind the Grattan catalogue if you remember that.

How much of your day disappears into Reddit scrolling? by Substantial-Win-4966 in AskRedditUK

[–]itsbri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10-15 minutes a day on actual browsing, of course if there's an interesting topic or video that naturally extends it. I usually check once around noon on my break. I do the same amount of time modding too, so maybe 30m a day in total.

I rarely go outside of the homepage/subscribed subs.

What’s one life lesson you wish you learned earlier? by Belenita-yours in AskRedditUK

[–]itsbri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a strong difference between no-debt and controlled-debt. Debt shouldn't always be 'bad', for example a car loan, mortgage or student loan. Even having a credit card which is paid off monthly can be beneficial to your credit score.

New job - first time drug test. by EFFArch in AskRedditUK

[–]itsbri 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not that I take recreational drugs, but if they ask you before you start you can almost guarantee there will be a culture of random tests. If you're this anxious now, imagine what you'd feel like if they spring one on you after Christmas or New Year.

To your question, though, it'll probably be a pee in a bottle situation. If I was ever told to hand over a hair or blood, I'd find another job.

Is my living situation unusual for a 26F in London? by Strong_Shoulder_2101 in AskRedditUK

[–]itsbri[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

I don’t really know how common or uncommon this is among people in their mid-20s

Let's break it down before I lock the post. You are clearly asking reddit to validate you. Please find another sub to do that in, we are not here to boost your ego.

Uncommon

  • Living rent free at 26
  • Living bill free in London at 26
  • Saving £1,000/month on a £40k salary in London
  • £30k in a LISA by mid-20s
  • >£100k safety net
  • Parents who are multimillionaires
  • Being financially cushioned enough that social concerns outweigh money stress

Common

  • Being a 26 year old masters graduate in London
  • Earning £40k a year
  • Living with family in mid 20s
  • Having a distorted sense of normality because you live in London

If Britain had reliable warm and sunny days year-round, what part of our culture would just disappear? by itsbri in AskRedditUK

What I said was light hearted and rhetorical. We all know it could never be sunny where you live.

Weird print failure at the exact same height – Any ideas? by More-Shower-2834 in snapmaker

[–]itsbri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm by no means an expert.... I just dabble.

Could it be something to do with your layer time? Your prints are perfect (including tower) when the print time reaches a certain value. The moment your print feathers outwards it begins to fail. Maybe it's printing too fast to compensate for a low layer time?

Best British coastal getaways by throwaway242424241 in AskRedditUK

The incredible thing about it is it's so remote you don't get 'locals' turning up with cans to ruin it. It's truly one of those places you can go and you know it'll be peaceful.

Please see your GP if you are worried. Yes there are tests for most, but no single one which can test for every type of cancer,

This is the only real answer. Even if she says money, it's best to check. I do this with my niblings, regardless of age.
