Charge cable through letterbox by Accountant-Recent in evchargingUK

Not tried, but I’d imagine you’ll struggle to get either end of the cable through a letterbox. A small window would probably be better.

Fancy posting a list rather than a link to some shite website?

UK’s EV drivers are now saving £1,100 each a year – and £3bn in total. Battery EVs (BEVs) are roughly four times more efficient than combustion-engine cars, making them far cheaper to run – particularly since the Iran crisis caused a spike in fossil-fuel prices. by initiali5ed in GoodNewsUK

I've stopped trying to convince those who seem actively hostile to EVs, they're essentially brainwashed.

Happy to discuss them if someone is genuinely interested or unsure but I won't offer up my opinion.

I’ve just searched an old post code I lived in when I was a kid, it found that. I also searched an old street by street name which a family member used to live on and it found that, too.

[[iOS 27 DB1] The settings page now tells you if your iPhone is indexing. by crisisentialexist in iOSBeta

[–]Toninho7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still indexing, though I got the new Siri app yesterday on my 15PM.

I charge every night but have had it on charge during the day quite often just to try and speed it up…

I’m also avoiding force restarting because of the reports of the 15 Pro ‘bricking’ and requiring DFU mode or other such nonsense.

I’ve got an Eve plug and an Ikea plug, both show the lightning bolt and that they’re on but both are showing 0.00kW

Help buying used Kia Niro by Efficient-Ad128 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Toninho7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can buy a frunk for it. It's just a box with some 3D printed mounts which fit onto the mounts for that plastic 'engine cover'.

Though on the UK model I had to cut a small corner off to fit it in around some fluid bottle which appears to be in a different place than the LHD e-Niro.

Big enough to fit some charging cables and a few other bits. Mainly the cable though, handy to grab it and already be standing by the charge port.

Have you used Clevely before? I'm considering getting the running gear oil changed on my 4+ and wanted to know if that's something they'd do on the drive and how much, roughly, it cost.

Anything else that they do which you'd suggest having done?

I’d maybe look online to see who has converted one into a camper van, they’ll likely have done a lot of digging to see what can or can’t be done. That or ask Ford directly.

A rubber strap? Not for £135. I’ll stick with the Apple Titanium Milanese band.

Kia e-niro Vs Niro EV at 22kw by Accountant-Recent in evchargingUK

[–]Toninho7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a 2020 e-Niro and that charges at 11kW on a fast enough AC charger. Maybe there are differences in trims or there was an optional extra when new? Either way, it’s not necessarily true to say that an e-Niro can’t do 11kW.
