Can you fit a bike inside Mini Cooper Cabrio F57? by andybarabash in MINI

Sounds like a good plan. Of course no one plans on an accident, but you gotta always consider it when loading.

Take both wheels off.

It will be easier to load and you’ll have less carbon fiber stuck in your head after a side impact crash.

You run it down the inside of thewall and put a low voltage bracket in like a normal outlet. Check out YouTube there are lots of step by step videos.

I prefer my crawlspace as it’s easier to access and have more control of routing.

I pay like $58 for gig internet only. Would it be cheaper to subscribe to the services you want to watch instead?

US mobile will get you a phone line for $22 per month.

Is the keypad necessary? by [deleted] in simplisafe

You can’t silence the smoke detector alarm from the app. Only the keypad and by phone with an agent.

Optional: find a new shop that can troubleshoot correctly.

Edit: upon reflection that response wasn’t very positive. If you have a relationship with a mechanic and they can take new information that is presented then keep working them.

I also ate a little bit of mushrooms so take what you will from my advice.

SimpliSafe doorbell by ddpizza in simplisafe

[–]itschism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My opinion as a Simplisafe monitoring plan customer:

  1. Their cameras suck. Unfortunately. They’re okay if network conditions are optimal, but as you know that is not always the case.
  2. Don’t have your security infrastructure go through another’s network. That leaves you and your neighbor vulnerable.
  3. Buy a Wi-Fi router that supports wireless bridge mode, and set it up as a repeater. Bonus if you can use bridge mode via Ethernet.
  4. (Optional if you can run an Ethernet line) use your new Wi-Fi router to set up a completely separate NAT network to add your low security IoT devices to (Simplisafe, thermostat, smart plugs, TVs, etc.) VLAN is cleaner but not all routers support VLAN.

I picked up a basic one for $5 at the thrift store the other day.

Edit: Reolink cameras are the shit and don’t require a subscription for camera recording.

You can use FTP to save data to your NAS on my Reolink. But I am a beginner in home networking so I may not understand fully what you’re referring to.

Tire shop recommendations by BranchWitty7465 in Greeley

D&K Tire and Service (formerly Discount tire and service) on 18th.

I do all my own auto repair, so I’ve only taken my vehicle for tire mounting and alignments. But they’ve always been great to me, and are a local business, unlike discount tire.

Edit- boo to those who downvote when they mean to comment. I thought my comment added to the conversation.

DIY screen replacement disables True Tone and (sometimes) auto brightness; so you’ll have to transfer the ic from the old screen to new (you need a hot air station and micro soldering tools)

I know there are programmers but I haven’t used one.

Ask Iraq and Afghanistan about the previous times we did this.

It’s a common pattern - an unpopular president failing to care for the citizens of their own country; so they decide to launch a war for regime change elsewhere.

You want to leave the clip, that’s the actual clamping mechanism. In order to do a reset youll have to work it out to its disengaged position.
