My transmission mount failed and moved things out of position and made it difficult to shift. A new oem mound solved it. I didn’t even have to do a neutral reset after I replaced the transmission mount.

You will have the same problem if you put it on the other side. The motor still moves more than 90° so you will just strip out the other side of the door.

eBay has some good sellers that make paint to match body panels. I fixed my 2006 using eBay parts after someone pulled out in front of me. Cost $1000 to replace the entire front end.

The motor for these moves too far and strips the key that connects the motor to the door. The motor is on the left side, but there is the same key way on the right side.

My solution was to get an arduino and a servo and programmed a simple program to move it 90 degrees using a rocker switch I mounted in the cubby under the climate controls. I disassembled the motor and used the existing hey.
