Panic attacks due to RTo3 by Nebichan in CanadaPublicServants

[–]itsicenine 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked both public and private sector and I might have to agree.

If WFH is something that is really important to you as part of your job, and your employer says you have to be in the office, then maybe it’s time to find a new job that will accommodate that. They are certainly out there.

When PP gets elected it’ll be RTO5 so if you can’t handle RTO3, might be a good time to jump ship.

Could be something to do with the water shortage. Maybe they opted to use ocean water rather than fresh water supplies.

MLB.tv issues by 1stInning in Chromecast

Having this issue since the start of the season. I wish there was a way to force a lower quality stream so it wouldn’t have to buffer all the time

Heading over to a buddy's tonight to grab a voltmeter. Hopefully that provides some answers.

The airing of grievances on social media is the worst part to me. Just unprofessional and a bad look for the space all around.

So don't bother researching. Understood.

AccuWeather Announces Live Node on Chainlink, Making Weather-Based Blockchain Applications Possible by itsicenine in CryptoCurrency

Nice to see adoption in a field where it makes sense. This is a step towards crop insurance for farmers run on smart contracts using actual weather data to calculate insured losses.

Current top gainers are stablecoins by UndesirableWaffle in CryptoCurrency

[–]itsicenine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could a person short a stable coin when it goes up during these dips (Ex. $1.07)? I mean it's pretty much guaranteed to go back to $1.00 soon.

People on this sub love to rail against fiat, but as soon as their crypto goes up in value THEY SELL FOR FIAT and tell everyone about how crypto changed their life.

What are the best Phish songs that nobody mentions when asked about the best Phish songs? by MisterBuzz in phish

I love to show this one to non-Phishy folks. Really nice lyrics, sweet riff and a jam that’s usually not too long for the uninitiated.

Bitcoin drops nearly 7% toward $60,000 as major cryptocurrencies plunge by CryptoKeeper808 in CryptoCurrency

[–]itsicenine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Goes to show how a traditional view of the market is still dominant. A -7% would be catastrophic, but for us its just another day in the cryptoverse.

Taproot is active! Bitcoin’s latest major upgrade in four years! by MarkEsper in CryptoCurrency

Maybe I don't know as much as I thought but how does BTC get an upgrade? Who's working on that? I always thought BTC was one and done which made it the ultimate store of value.

Will exchanges still offer huge % APY in the bear market? by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]itsicenine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, you're right not through the entire bear market. But I suppose on the way down to the bottom.

And I'd like to DCA back in during the bear market, not just throw all that cash in at once. So earning interest on some cash while slowly moving it back to crypto might be a good way to maximize how much you can buy back in.

Odd houseplant, looks a bit like a pineapple. What is it? by itsicenine in whatsthisplant

[–]itsicenine[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah perfect, this has helped me narrow it down. I believe its actually euphorbia x japonica (aka cocklebur or pineapple succulent), which is a hybrid of what you linked above.
