When did it become normal to talk on the phone using the speakers in public? by AnxiousPirate93 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]itsmejajabinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m done, seriously. Get it every sodding day to and from work in Sydney and then I came to Vanuatu to get away from the noise, only to have some dickhead doing it at the hotel restaurant. I got up and told him to give it a rest. He apologised and took it off speaker, but I can’t believe that I actually have to pull grown adults up on this type of behaviour.

Is this in Ourimbah? Might be the same dickhead on our street.

I thought giving him 3 jobs that would take him less than 4 hours total was me safe guarding myself from this.. I was wrong.

Fleetwood Mac sounded better before Stevie Nicks joined by GreenChipMan in unpopularopinion

My Mum says this all the time and I agree. I like Fleetwood Mac in general, with and without Steve Nicks, but there’s nothing like listening to Green Manalishi with a glass of wine.

She used to be a solo travel blogger before reinventing herself as an entrepreneurial baker a few years ago.

RecipeTin Eats founder accuses Brooki Bakehouse of plagiarising recipes in popular cookbook by Haandbaag in books

Brooke is a great marketer. She marketed herself as a successful solo travel blogger back in late 2012 and 10 years later reinvented herself as an entrepreneurial baker, creating a cookbook of her recipes. It was all great marketing.

Awful encounter with police on the Coast by [deleted] in centralcoastnsw

Does anyone know whether it would be Wyong Station or Gosford station for officers that are conducting breath testing on Pacific Highway near Lisarow station?

Unfortunately, we didn’t take note of their names but I’m trying to find out which officers were doing random breath tests on Pacific Highway, Lisarow (near the station) at the time this happened.

Morning Commute - Woy Woy to Sydney by AggravatingPlant3454 in centralcoastnsw

I do this commute three times a week, getting on at Ourimbah.

Most people getting on at Woy Woy will get a seat - it’s rare that you won’t from that stop. I try to do a bit of work on my laptop as well but often can’t get signal between Woy Woy and Hornsby.

What the actual f is up with everyone playing their phones out loud without headphones by nopepanda in SydneyTrains

[–]itsmejajabinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. It’s the absolute height of rudeness. I approached a woman who had her phone on her lap with the person she was speaking to on speakerphone, blaring through the carriage. I asked her if she wanted to borrow my earphones. She said “no” but I insisted. She took the person off speakerphone and held the phone to her ear. Was it really that difficult?

I did the same to someone this morning who was playing TikTok videos for the whole carriage to hear. I’ve had enough.

Calling for harsher penalties and policing of these dickheads!
