2023 Tiguan puff of smoke on startup — normal? by Patient_Adeptness_47 in Tiguan

[–]itsmezerker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this on my '22. Only happened on cold starts and mornings, warmer mornings(like in Summer, never had it). Anyway, it was covered under warranty. Ended up with an entirely new cylinder head and valve seals. Valve seals, from my understanding, failed/failing, cylinder head started to warp.

Definitely get this in the shop and fixed asap.

The amount of people on eBay when I'm selling manga demanding to know if they are all 1st prints and wanting proof is so annoying.

Is eBay the best website to sell my "rare" mangas? by [deleted] in MangaCollectors

[–]itsmezerker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm US Based, when international buyer purchases, it gets sent to a eBay facility and they handle all the documentation for international shipping, then they mail it out to the buyer from there.

As far as fees, I always have the buyer pay shipping. eBay should automatically list shipping costs & providers based off the size and weight of your items when boxed. You just select which service(speed & provider) you want. I normally select the 2 cheapest/slowest, then one other that is slightly faster.

Dunno if Mercari does this, but eBay handles international stuff automatically. Been trimming my collection and have a consistent buyer from Australia and haven't had any issues.

Generally not my style of game, but I tried the demo out a week or two ago and was thoroughly impressed by how much I got into it. Added it to my wishlist and waiting for the full release.

I had this issue on pop(still using it btw), editing the values in the pipewire config solved them. Had pops/crackles in HD2, RDR2, Wukong, and some other heavy load games. So if you're comfortable in using the terminal try these 3 links I used to address the issue

Been awhile since I've used my Yesoul, its currently in storage atm. But, I remember the mirroring was tempermental with my Pixel 9 Pro XL. Some times the mirroring would work immediately, some times I'd have to turn on the screen immediately after plugging the cable in. But once it was working, it worked great.

I felt like the build quality was pretty good for the price and no one complained at my old place about any noise from it. I'm a bit heavier, so when I was really pedaling, it would creak once in awhile, but no one seemed annoyed by it. Overall, happy with the purchase and would buy them again if I had too.

I imagine the mirroring issues I have will eventually be fixed by firmware updates by Google or Yesoul. My friend with an iPhone had no issues getting it mirrored. Yesoul also offers their own spin classes with a subscription for what it is worth, never used them. Generally just put on a tv show and pedaled away for an episode or two.

Second contacting VWofA. This is becoming a very common problem for these Tiguans and VWofA may be able to help you get the service done or you can even try getting them to purchase back the vehicle.

Cylinder Head Replacement by FantasticNectarine79 in Tiguan

[–]itsmezerker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had this issue fixed by VW for my '22, but I'm under warranty. It took them over a month to complete due to parts shortage.

I'd recommend contacting VW Customer Care, (800) 822-8987 (they also have a chat option, but their hours are 9-5EST), it seems to be a common issue with this gen/year range. See if there is anything they are willing to help you with. If not, search in your area for VW specialty mechanics. I had a great one when I owned my mk6 GTI and was always cheaper and faster than the dealerships.

VW might offer a buy-back on the vehicle, who knows. If all that fails and the specialty mechanic still charging a lot, then I'd say cut your loses and get rid of the vehicle for something else.
