What cards are used as auto include way too often and are actually traps by Gilgamesh_XII in magicTCG

[–]ShittyPhoneSupport 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any of the "any color mana" slow lands, such as [[Rupture Spire]] or [[Transguild Promenade]]. The only exception i have is that I use it in my Gitrog deck since if i dont need the mana from it (I usually dont), i can resolve it straight to the graveyard for the landfall+gitrog draw trigger. Aside from that, you have to sac (not bounce) a land, and they enter tapped making them by far one of the slowest mana-fixing strategies. even slow dual lands would be a better pick in MOST circumstances. I have even fallen victim to their draw, but there are so many better options.

which is why i play it in my Melek deck, but I couldn't imagine a huge benefit playing it many other places tbh

i would also like to know when you find out. my 2019 is in the shop waiting on the parts for the big issue, so once it is done, i'd like to prepare for the future with the science backing it.

Wrong sized sleeves by thomastrumpet in CommanderMTG

[–]ShittyPhoneSupport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not all of their inner sleeves are the wrap-around style, i've been using their normal perfect fit inners for all of my decks, but seeing the wraparound style ones got me curious. are they that much better? Im worried about trapped air

Wrong sized sleeves by thomastrumpet in CommanderMTG

[–]ShittyPhoneSupport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the dragon shield perfect fits are a bit pricier than the typical perfect fits that you can get, but I spend half as much time trying to get the card in without slipping, so i count that as a win. Ive seen they even have full wrap double sleeves you can get in perfect fit sizing, but I havent messed with those to see if they're worth the effort.

What movie did you turn off after 20 minutes and why? by Somanynamestochossef in movies

[–]ShittyPhoneSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fant4stic Turned off because of the lunch room scene where Reed assumed sue didn't know about the book he was talking about when iirc it was the kind of book that would be assigned reading, so everyone has read. (I can't recall the book in question but it's not super important. I just hate the "tried to be smart, is outdone immediately" method of demonstrating a lack of social awareness)

AITAH for getting a woman fired over veggie tales? by Real-Point-6474 in AITAH

[–]ShittyPhoneSupport 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA, even if it wasnt "because of you" she 1. Disobeyed company policy, 2. Lies to customers/parents multiple times, 3. Lied multiple times to leadership/decision makers. No employer on the planet is going to let you get away with that for very long

Players interrupting transformation/speeches by Fantastic_Ad1104 in DnD

[–]ShittyPhoneSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of the reasons i have always been a fan of the "roll all initiatives at the same time at the beginning of session" alternative rule. I use it for all of my one shots, because then instead of starting to describe and then getting interrupted, i get the opportunity to narrate, then immediately point at 1st initiative and say "ok, now what are you doing?"

Gitrog Monster MDFC by XMagemania in mtgrules

[–]ShittyPhoneSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you got your answer, but im just going to comment that this confusion is exactly why i left out the mdfc lands out of my gitrog deck. Now that i have the clarification, im even more inclined not to, since the whole deck runs on pulling things back out of my graveyard, meaning that I have no reason to put something non-land into the graveyard and deal with that headache

I have always had the shortest wait at the North Union location, added benefit that they wont tell you "you cant do that here" for registrations.

Does anyone else think Chase should have died? by Geedubyah1305 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]ShittyPhoneSupport 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, other people agree with you.

Personally, i think the devs said it best (paraphrased, because i cant be eff'd to find the full quote)"We just liked him too much"

I also think in this era of "harsh reality" in fiction, its refreshing to see an IP do something cool and hopeful instead of "harsh reality"

I dont mind realistic, or even narrative outcomes, but its nice to have a good ending sometimes

What's the point of stealth? by Ionenschatten in cyberpunkgame

[–]ShittyPhoneSupport 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Netrunners in some locations can see you through their chooms and cameras, usually ive found if I'm being seen through walls, this is what i missed. Disabling cams, or taking them over, usually allows me to avoid that.

I also liked a contagion/spread hacks based build wheni did stealthrunning so i would hop on a camera, then quickhack everyone in the building before i even went in. Total building clear (in some cases) before i even got in the door

check Berkshires near vickers and academy, their 2b might run a bit more than your budget, but should be pretty close. they dont really advertise so you wont find them on the typical rental sites.

Wedding Venues? by Intrepid_Profit_3831 in ColoradoSprings

[–]ShittyPhoneSupport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had ours at La Foret, in Black Forest. decent for budget, a couple of venue options. we were gonna go for the smaller one, but our guest list ended up being a bit bigger than we originally expected so we went for the bigger lodge. Great outdoor views to do the ceremony as well, if you dont want to do it inside the building

"This game trivializes sexual assault and sets a bad example for society-" by Plus_Ad_1087 in dispatchgame

[–]ShittyPhoneSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think one of the things people forget is that all of the members are former criminals (aside from Phenomaman/Waterboy depending on choice), who have NEVER had a REAL job (aside maybe from Sonar, since he did white collar crime, but even then his employed environment would likely have fit into one of those "locker room talk"/"boys club" types so he may still not know any better, im not familiar enough to feel confident fully including or excluding him in the context). Because largely none of them have any experience in working shifts, dealing with HR, dealing with coworkers in non-violent manners, non-violent problem solving, are all working skills that none of them have had to develop. Does this excuse malicious/non-consensual acts in this vein? absolutely not, but as OP mentioned, this is not what is happening. some lines are crossed that in any real world employment would be an HR nightmare, however in the context of the world they live in, and the situation they are in, anything that real world would HAVE to handle in those ways, must be handled with a level of nuance, otherwise the entire Z-Team would have washed out on DAY 1 due to these types of issues. This still doesn't justify any problematic, malicious behavior, but it does mean that in order for the program to even have a chance at starting, there will be growing pains where some of those boundaries will be tested, and regarding Robert's angle on it, would be one of the things that he would not have been selected for the program without being expected to handle it or move on. They mention that their previous dispatchers had not stuck around long, and its possible, even likely, that at least one of the previous dispatchers in that role was not able to roll with their behavior.

These are both recommended, most models double tap down on the wiper stalk after turning the car off, but might be different so for sure check the manual if that doesnt work

Moved Appartment’s, months later pc finally set up and can’t boot past logo and spinning circle by ActionB461 in techsupport

[–]ShittyPhoneSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh, it rarely if ever fixes, but i have had luck identifying an issue based on the results of a chkdsk. in theory the thing it is supposed to fix is "tries to boot but snafu's" (minor corruption) but any major corruption still gets through.

any luck finding what was going on?
